The woman stared up at him as he moved close to her, hands smoothing out over the planes of his chest. As he moved her hips from side to side, Calypso pushed closer and let her hands slip up to play with the man's hair with a giggle. "Sadly, this little firefly is all blown out.." said the woman, smiling with amusement as she quite suddenly shot forward and brushed her lips along his, grabbing his shirt with her hands and pulling him closer. The girl pulled back only to peck once more at his lips, letting out a quiet sigh as her fingers loosened around his shirt. She peered up at him with a tender look on her face, heart pounding, cheek pink, and suddenly she felt as if she couldn't speak at all. But she had to, and she wanted to. "I think I'd like it very much if you stayed, if only for a little longer. You haven't shown me what can be included in that exception you talked about, after all, and I really want to know what it's all about." She peered into his lovely eyes for only a moment longer before she pulled his head down tenderly and claimed the man's lips once more. She didn't want to just kiss him and act like it was nothing, not like all those other men. Jack was different; he was special. She wanted it to mean something.
Her question caught him off guard, and for a moment Dorian didn't know how to answer it. It didn't matter if they were going to leave sooner or even later, because in the end they were going to leave no matter how long they stayed. They weren't known for staying in a spot for longer than two weeks - and that was usually only for the special cases, even. They were so use to doing things their way that they didn't even seem to consider other possibilities. "Honestly, Kerrin, I don't know." He looked her in the eye and frowned. "We don't normally not find information on cases; we should have found something by now. But I feel like we're missing something..." The man shook his head, surpressing a chill. Jack made fun of him whenever he got like this, when Dorian spoke of something being wrong or out of place, but this time he couldn't place what it was. "But I don't mind staying longer. I've been moving around so much that I forgot what it feels like to actually... care about people." The man reached up and brushed his knuckles down the woman's soft cheek. "And I do care about you, Kerrin. I want to make sure you're safe." She was too pure, too innocent to be lied to like he was doing, but he knew it was for the best. Besides, who could love someone that was borderline crazy and hunted fictional - or not so fictional - monsters for a living.

“Nah, it still shines pretty bright for me.” Jack said with a snicker, only to have that sinister little grin wiped off of his face when she rushed towards him and gave him a kiss. It was an incredible kiss, he had to admit, as he quickly returned it, not even bothering to think as his fingers curled a little tighter into her hips, tugging her closer as she too moved him closer to her. But soon, a bit too soon, in Jack’s opinion, she pulled away, and he was left staring at her with a smile on his face. “A lot could be included in that exception.” He informed her with a nod, letting her kiss him as much as he wanted. He always liked a girl that could take charge when she wanted to, and Calypso was obviously his type of girl in every single way. He held her closer, his arms slipping around her as he deepened the kiss, before he pulled back just a little, still occasionally brushing his lips over hers provocatively. “Don’t worry, Cal.” He murmured as he kissed her, wanting to keep her close to him. “I’m sure we’re not leaving for a while, so I’ll be able to teach you all about the exceptions.”
Kerrin listened to Dorian with obvious concern, not at all liking any of the uncertainty she was starting to feel surrounding them. Knowing she didn’t have much time with Dorian, and not knowing when he was going to leave were two different things, but they both worked together perfectly to make her a little paranoid. Sure, she wasn’t sure if anything would ever go on between them in this short amount of time, but if anything did, she didn’t know how easily she’d be able to let him go. But then Dorian caught her by surprise, making her stare up at him with glossy, dream-filled eyes, her heart beating a little faster as she felt his fingers brush over her cheek. A shiver ran through her as her cheeks darkened, and a sweet, almost saccharine smile showed upon her pretty little face. “Dorian…” She murmured, her tone very tender as she cupped face delicately with one of her hands, her fingers already sleeking back some of his dark hair. “I care about you a lot, too.” She told him, standing up on her toes to press her lips softly against the corner of his mouth, closing her eyes as she hovered there for a moment or two, pulling away just lightly as she eyed the boy with delight. “You know…My father wouldn’t really hurt you if you wanted to sneak me out of the house again sometime.” She murmured, watching him with a bright grin. “I think I’d like it if you did.”

"Oh yeah?" she asked breathlessly, shamlessly focused on the man's lips as she began to smile. She knew they shouldn't be doing this. It wasn't as though Kerrin's father truly worried over Calypso as he did Kerrin, but that wasn't what she was worried about anyway. As he mentioned before, he had no one to claim as a girl-friend because he traveled, and Calypso herself didn't even live here. She lived in a tiny apartment covered in photographs, and a giant dog that slobbered over the pillows. Calypso had no order in her life; even her name was crazy. But like so many other things, she wanted him, and she knew that he knew that. He had to, at least. "Well, let's hope there is a lot to include in it. I'm very flexible, you know, so I'm up for anything." She snickered, nipping at his lips rather slyly. "Let's hope you can make good use of that." She smirked as her kisses strayed down to his neck, fingers artfully sneaking up his chest and resting at his sides. "I think we've bothered the fireflies enough, don't you?"
Dorian frowned. Her kiss was just shy of his lips, and he didn't understand what why it bothered him so much that it did "miss." However, to Kerrin, she was most likely aiming for that place. "I think I'd like it if I did too." He stared down at her seriously, his hands suddenly finding themselves at her hips. He didn't know why he was doing this; he was screaming at himself inside of his head. He didn't want to hurt her, and getting in a relationship with her would only do it. But she kept teasing him, with her blushes and her words, and he wasn't sure he could take it anymore. "I think I'd like it if we stayed as well." He leaned down at kissed the tip of her nose tenderly, eyes peering curiously into her own as though asking a question. Then, slowly, he kissed the woman on the lips, his heart starting to pound like it did when he was on a hunt. And, oddly enough, he didn't even seem to notice that the fortune teller shook her head.

Jack did know that she wanted him, and he wanted her, too, but while it thrilled him, it also scared him a little. He’d barely known Calypso for very long, and yet, already he was very attached to her. Incredibly so. The way she smiled and laughed made his heart beat a little faster. That sort of thing had never happened to him before in his life, and while it was exhilarating, he couldn’t help but feel like there was something weird about it, too. It was something he’d never felt before, and quite frankly, Jack didn’t like it very much when things changed – especially when they were things that had to do with himself. “Oh, you are?” He asked with a devious stare, looking her up and down quickly before he looked to her eyes once again, letting her do whatever she pleased, the kisses she placed along his neck making him shiver. “Well, I’ll have to keep that in mind, then. Flexible is always a bonus.” He grinned, bending his neck to dot a kiss against her collarbone, pulling back to watch her happily. “Yeah, I suppose we have.” He murmured, sighing lightly. “We could stay out here all night, but…I wouldn’t want you to get cold. Besides, its probably safer in the house.” He nodded, knowing that it was best that they get inside soon. Especially since he and Dorian were yet to figure out just what they were hunting here in this little town.
Kerrin had kissed Dorian exactly where she meant to, though she would have liked to kiss where he’d wanted her to. She was usually the type to take things slow, to give relationships their time, but with Dorian, there wasn’t much time to be messed with. That’s why, as he stared down at her with that questioning gaze, his hands rested comfortably and wonderfully on her hips, she couldn’t help but return his stare with one offering permission. Soon, his lips were molding over hers, and her heart exploded like a firework. She returned his kiss fervently, stepping a bit closer to him before she finally pulled away, grinning up at him with a bright, blissful look on her face. “I think I’d like it if you stayed, too.” She murmured, pressing another sweet, quick little kiss to his lips. She knew what she was getting into, of course, though she believed Dorian to be an FBI agent still. She knew his work was dangerous, even if it really wasn’t what she thought it was, and she knew he’d have to travel a lot, as that was already what he was doing. But, even if they weren’t in any sort of serious relationship just yet, she knew that they could, somehow, make it work. “For a very long time.” She nodded, wrapping her arms around him affectionately as she softly kissed just below his jaw, just now noticing how wonderful of a scent he had.

"And I don't want bugs crawling all over me," she added quickly, smirking at him. There was something about him, something that made her nervous, and then there was something that made her suspicious. But she ignored it because she didn't want to focus on it. There was so much about him she didn't know anyway, so she wanted to leave it a mystery. She pulled from him, a devious smile on her face as she giggled. "I'll race you." The woman pecked him quickly on the cheek before dashing off quickly toward the house, where she quickly sneaked in through the door and waited until he appeared. She giggled when he did, breathlessly, tapping him tenderly on his nose. "Night, Jack."
Dorian smiled sweetly as he stared at the circus lights, just as she kissed his jaws, allowing his arms to hook around her waist and tug her tightly against him. "There's still more to see, you know." And he showed her around, taking her to the places she hadn't seen and the ones she thought she liked. But soon he knew that he had to take her home, quietly leading her into the house as he swooped down to press a quick his to her head. "I'll see you in the morning."

It wasn’t very long after Jack and Calypso’s evening in the meadow that Jack was sleeping peacefully, relaxed in bed, asleep in just his boxers, when something startled him awake. It was a noise, a rather loud, crashing noise that came from downstairs. He didn’t know what it was, be he had a bad feeling that he would find out soon enough. But there was a thought in his head that popped up the second he jumped out of bed, something that spontaneously, and quite reasonably became his first priority; Calypso. He was out of bed in a flash, pulling on a pair of pants he’d left on the floor and snatching a small pistol he’d stowed away beneath his bed, stuffing it into the back of his pants. He wasn’t sure why he cared so much to check on the woman first, before going to find whatever was downstairs, but he did, rushing first and foremost to her bedroom, not even bothering to knock on the door before he opened it, moving as fast as he could to the side of Calypso’s bed, placing his hand tenderly upon her sleeping body. “Cal!” He whispered softly, moving to shake her awake as his eyes looked over her face worriedly, not sure what she was doing.
Kerrin, though, had been fast asleep when the sound of the crash rattled through the house, though, to be honest, she was used to it as a child. The occasional raccoon, squirrel, or bird would find its way into the house, and her father would deal with it in the morning. However, her father wasn’t home tonight, it was just the house filled with young people. But it was another noise that stirred her, the sound of someone rushing down the hallway. She wasn’t sure who it was, but the sound made her sit up tiredly in bed, staring at the door tiredly as she sat up. She heard the sound of a door open, and then slam shut, coming from down the hall, where Calypso slept. As much as she knew the girl, she doubted she’d be running around the house, so filled with curiosity, Kerrin moved to the door slowly, dressed only in her nightgown as she pulled open the door, peering outside nervously, for she had no idea who, or what was running around the house.

She was sleeping until she heard something crash, and unlike Kerrin, she wasn't use to it. So, like she did when she was a child, Calypso curled herself tighter into the blankets and tried to sleep. But it wasn't too long after when someone was whispering her name urgently, shaking her from her sleep as she peered up at Jack with half-lidded eyes. "Are you crazy?" she asked suddenly, glancing at the clock on the night stand before sighing. She owed it to him to at least figure out what he wanted, after all she had done pretty much the same thing. She pushed herself from the bed, placing her hands on the man's chest as she looked up at him, sighing. "Did you come to wake me because you missed me or is it something else?"
Dorian watched Jack oddly run off to Calypso's room with facination, wondering what had got into him, for usually he was off to the scene of the crime first than he was anything else. But he shrugged and went down stairs, only to find that it was indeed just a bird that had slammed itself into the window and was now walking around like it was drunk. He opened the door, waiting for it to fly off, before he went up stairs to go back to sleep, only he ended up bumping right into Kerrin. He stared at her with tired eyes, frowning. "What are you doing up?" he asked softly, pulling her toward him by the hand. He hoped the crash hadn't scared her.

Jack sighed with relief as Calypso turned in bed and spoke with him, obviously glad to see her safe. She asked if he was crazy, though, and he couldn’t help but grin at that. If only she knew just how crazy both he and Dorian were, and how much more crazy she was making him just by being nearby. “No, no…I heard something, I wanted to make sure you were okay…” He answered honestly, though he did look a little embarrassed as he said so, reaching up to place his hand over hers as it rested upon his chest. “But I did miss you…” He added, pursing his lips together as he glanced towards the door with paranoia. “Here.” He said quickly, moving to the door as he pulled something out of his pocket, ripping the small package open as he bent down in front of the door, sprinkling a little white mineral in front of the door - just in case. “I’m staying with you tonight.” he announced as he turned back towards the girl, scowling as he walked over towards the bed. “I can…sleep on the floor, if you’d prefer it. But I think its safer if I stay with you. Just for now."
Kerrin grunted as she felt someone collide with her in the hallway, turning around slowly to have her eyes land upon Dorian. It was strange, how easily he brought a grin to her face, even when she was half asleep. But she didn’t even notice, instead, taking his hand in hers and stepping close to him, resting her head tiredly against his chest. “I heard a noise.” She murmured innocently, frowning a little as she glanced up at him. “Why are you up?” She questioned, pouting lightly at the man, still quite tired and unawake. “Was it you I heard running around?”

"That's nice, Jack." She rested her forehead upon his chest as her eyes closed, releasing a yawn and very likely about to fall asleep, but he moved again. She stared at him in confusion as he took out a salt package and practically littered the floor, making her shake her head in disbelief. "Okay. Are you doing what I think you're doing?" she narrowed her eyes, trying to squint and see if it was true, but she was just so tired. "What?" she shook her head and tugged at his shirt, slipping her fingers quickly up along his chest. "You're sleeping with me."
Dorian sighed. "It was just Jack, you know, freaking out." The man, deciding she was probably too tired to move, lifted her up with ease into his arms. He carried her carefully over toward her room, setting her upon the bed before sitting down beside her. "You're not scared, Kerrin, are you?" He was truly worried for her, but he was teasing nonetheless, wanting to at least make her feel comfortable instead of scaring her. "I could sleep in here with you, if you want."

“Well, that depends on what you think I’m doing.” Jack replied quickly, knowing she probably thought she was insane, because, really, he kind of was. Not as much as most people in his line of work, but he still had his issues. A lot of people did. “it’s a, uh, kind of tradition in my family. My mother was…uh…Finnish, and sprinkling salt in front of the door is like their form of a dream catcher.” Jack lied, quite smoothly as he watched the girl, his interest only sparking as she slipped her fingers across his chest. “Alright. I was hoping you’d say that.” He smiled, slipping in bed beside her, wrapping an arm around her waist affectionately as he tugged her close. “Just sleep, alright? I’ll do the rest.” he smiled.
“Oh…” Kerrin murmured lightly, her eyes half lidded as she listened to Dorian speak. She smiled, though, as Dorian lifted her into his arms, wrapping her own arms delicately around his neck, resting her head close to his body. She took deep breaths, keeping her eyes closed as he walked her to her room, before she glanced up at him as he started to speak again. “I was.” she admitted with a small frown, now looking a little more awake after he set her down on her bed. “But you’re here now.” She nodded, a tiny smirk tugging at her lips. But then he suggested something that made her pause, almost thoughtfully, though it was rather hard to think when you were as tired as she was. “Yes.” she said suddenly, nodding seriously at Dorian. “I want you to stay.” She grinned, scooting a little more to the side to make room for the man, before she laid down, tugging the covers delicately over her body, resting her head upon the pillow as she continued to stare at him curiously. “I don’t bite.”

"I think you're putting salt at the door," she said with amusement, watching as he happily moved to the other side of the bed, getting beneath the covers, pulling her close. She sighed tenderly into his neck, arms slipping around his waist as she nodded her head. "I don't know what you'd be doing besides sleeping, but okay." In the morning, however, the woman slept in rather late. It usually happened that way when she woke up in the middle of the night. But when she did wake up, she snuggled close to who was holding her, breathing in the man's familiar scent. "Hmm. You know, I could get use to this..." she said softly, lips snaking their way lazily along his neck.
Dorian chuckled at the woman's words, knowing that if she had been a vampire, she most likely would prefer "I like to bite." But he moved to slip beneath the covers beside the woman, tenderly pulling her petite figure close and nuzzle into the side of her neck. "You should go to sleep, okay?" he said tenderly, smiling as he planted a little kiss to her cheek, his hands smoothing down her hair.

To be honest, he wasn’t going to be doing much more than sleeping, but he was going to keep the woman protected. If there was the slightest sound, knock, tap, or movement nearby, he’d be awake in a flash, ready to stop anything that tried to get near the girl…aside from himself, of course. But the night passed without trouble, and the next morning he awoke rather blissfully, feeling the woman at his side snuggle close. It startled him a little, but soon a smile was crossing his face as he felt the sweet little kisses she placed against his neck, letting out a light moan of pleasure as she woke him up. “I wouldn’t be against that.” He murmured, grinning as he tilted his head, kissing her face affectionately. “Actually, I think I could stay here all day.” He whispered, grinning as he rolled sideways a little, clutching the girl close to himself.
Kerrin giggled as Dorian pressed his face against her neck, a bright, pleased smile on her face. She, too, snuggled close to him, laying her head lovingly near his shoulder, pressing a sweet kiss against his chest as she closed her eyes, relaxing in his arms. “Okay. Goodnight, Dorian.” She whispered, pressing a sweet kiss to his cheek, before she drifted off for the night. In the morning, though, she found herself a little tangled with the boy, one of her legs wrapped tenderly around his, one of her arms still resting across his stomach while her head was buried affectionately into his side. She let out a small yawn, a pure, wonderful warm feeling spreading through her as she realized just who she was laying with. After a moment, she sat up, leaning over him with a bright smile, before she leaned down and gave him a slow, loving kiss on the lips, wondering if she would wake him as well as he woke her.

She found herself giggling as he pulled her close, her fingers snaking up beneath his shirt once more, snickering as she stole his warmth for her fingers were so cold. "You know we can't do that," she said quietly. "They all might get suspscious." The woman sighed tenderly as she nuzzled his chest, eyes closing momentarily before she giggled once more. "You're going to have to clean up that salt, you know, being "Finnish" and everything." She didn't believe him, no, but she wasn't going to ask. She was sure if she did that she wouldn't like it. "But I want you to stay here for a moment." Calypso smoothed her lips against his, leaning over his body.
Dorian didn't know what his body was so tangled. In fact, he was sleeping peacefully, perhaps the best sleep he ever had, until he felt pressure on his lips and his eyes opened slowly to peer at Kerrin. He kissed her back sweetly, his hand reached up to curl in her hair as he suddenly rolled over and pinned the woman to the bed, grinning down at her. "You now, waking a man up like that is like giving a sleeping bear honey." He kissed her tenderly, before pulling back to sigh. "Did you sleep okay?"

“You’re just assuming they’d notice.” Jack teased, watching the woman adoringly as she lay in bed with him, feeling a little excited as she slipped her cold fingers beneath his shirt. He sighed, though, as she mentioned the salt at the door, pursing his lips together awkwardly, before he leaned down and pressed a kiss to her cheek. “Alright, I’ll be sure to do that before I leave.” he said smoothly, nodding as he watched the girl closely, grinning against her lips as she kissed him again, his arms quickly snaking around her waist to pull her close, tugging her on top of himself rather forcefully. “I’ll stay here as long as you want.” He murmured, dotting a few quick kisses along her neck.
Kerrin laughed happily as Dorian rolled over on top of her, quite pleased to be in the position that she was. She smiled as he pulled away from her, reaching up to brush her fingers across his face, twirling a bit of his hair in her fingertips. “Well, I’ll keep that in mind next time.” she murmured, smirking happily at the handsome man, feeling absolutely perfect and relaxed. “I slept great, actually,” She answered, sighing as she stared up at him, dropping one of her hands while the other ran her fingers across his neck affectionately. “But I might have you to thank for that.” She grinned, leaning up to grant him another kiss. “What about you, Dorian? Did you sleep well?” She asked gently, raising her eyebrows to stare at him curiously.

"Am not..." she giggled, though soon gasping as she was pulled on top of him, giggling wildly as she pressed her lips back against his. Calypso nodded, reaching up to run her fingers through his short hair, resting her head on his shoulder as she closed her eyes. It was all so odd. She couldn't quite place what they were. What were they? She doubted he'd visit her, what with his job, so how would this even work. "Hmm. In my bed, Jack, men are not permitted to wear shirts." The woman grinned as she suddenly pushed up his shirt, pulling back so that she was straddling the man, snickering as she bent down to kiss his stomach.
"I... slept very well." He said in a rather surprised tone, frowning just a bit before he sighed and shook his head. It was best if he didn't think about it. Instead, he sat up and tugged the woman into his arms, pressing a gentle kiss to her neck with a sudden chuckle. "And I think you should make yourself some breakfast." He wasn't good at making food anyway, and he didn't want her to go hungry. It wasn't like a person /could/ go hungry missing just breakfast for a day, but he wanted her taken care of.
