She could still hear her driver's eerie words in her head, and no matter how hard she tried not to, Lilith began to analyze them over and over again. The blond knew she should be enjoying this bath at this beautiful mansion, but like the driver said, she knew nobody hear and the only person she saw so far was a mute-man. But that was natural for her, to over-analyze things and become worried over tiny flaws. It was mostly because Lilith was a dancer did she end up like this, practically neuratic, obessing over every little detail with careful observation. It usually ended her up in bad situations, just like her dicisions, but she wasn't about to stay out in that weather. She may be a very good dancer, but she wasn't exactly the most graceful on her feet. If anything bad could happen to her then it would mostly likely come true. Why did she think that? Lilith Winchester was just very superstitious, especially since she one of her friends had broken her leg because she forgot to do the crew's "daily ritual". Yes, Lilith wrote a letter to her most favorite person the world (her cat, really) every time she was about to go on stage, since she thought it brought her luck. She would most likely have an anxiety-attack if she forgot to do it. Was she a 'normal' person? She was most definitely not. She was 'a little out there', as some would say, but they found it endearing nonetheless.
Lilith sighed very lightly, relaxing back in the tub as the bubbles caressed her skin. She just really hoped she'd make it to the play.

A tall man was wondering around the large castle with a bit of envy, eying the golden curtains and shiny windows. The castle, as it should be, was beautiful and large. It seemed almost everything within the large estate had some kind of gold on it, even the sheets, he noticed. Luis knew he could have all this if he really wanted it, but he also knew better than to waste his money on something as stupid as that. "Fine." he huffed, crossing his arms as he glared out at the gardens. Fine, yes, he was very selfish. He wanted a castle and a good life, but could you really blame him? He lived a soldiers life, which was hard and not at all amazing. But even if he really did want a castle, as everyone always did, he wasn't going to waste his money on it. He had to plan out these wishes carefully, otherwise he might end up wasting the. "Troublesome..." he whined lowly, a pout forming on his nicely sculpted lips. His brown eyes scanned the corridor, the smooth skin of his face sucking up the sun-rays entering from the window as he just stood there thinking. He moved from the window finally, the cloak he had been ordered to wear by the General of the castle slapping against his feet as he moved from room to room with childish curiosity. He knew, though, that peeking into every room would only end him into trouble. But he believed that he deserved it, seeing as he had gotten these awards and everything. He walked into the last room in the corridor, peering in the room only to freeze as he noticed a very bare, beautiful woman undressing in front of him. He coughed loudly, a smile beginning to form on his lips, though he quickly turned around and jingled the door-knob. "You'd think it'd have a lock," he began awkwardly.

Chadwick’s story wasn’t an easy one to comprehend. He’d grown up relatively normal, rich, having anything he wanted at his fingertips, when his entire life was turned upside down by a mysterious woman named Katherine. Their story was long, but to narrate it in a shorter way, she had fallen in love with him, and he had not returned the king endearment. Thus she’d cursed him, by scarring his face and drawing away anyone that had cared for him, except for a man named Henry Wilson, whom had become a mute under the influence of her curses.
Chadwick, disfigured and unwanted by most people he had known, resolved to staying alone in his mansion, never leaving it, trusting Henry to gather everything he needed. Clothes, food, and even company. Though life was rough for the both of them, Chadwick having no friends, and Henry having no voice, they had made due on living for several years out on their own. Here, at the mansion, without interruption from anyone in the outside world aside from a few salesmen who fled at the very sight of the disfigured man.
Last night there had been a storm, and unaware to Chadwick, a lost traveler had been allowed to come to stay in the mansion by Henry. Instead, Chadwick had stayed inside on his own, reading a book before he disappeared to his bedchamber to sleep, only to reappear the next morning to have breakfast. But as he wandered his home, he heard a strange noise - and strange noises were not accustom to a place like this. A place abandoned and far out of reach for most people in the human world. He’d gone in search of the sound, only to come across one of the bathrooms that he never used, saved for guests, which he never had, save for a family member of Henry’s coming to visit perhaps for a day or two. His sister, or maybe even his mother. But never did anyone come unexpectedly.
Chadwick didn’t hesitate to open the door, looking inside to find a beautiful young woman bathing, his eyes, or rather, one of his eyes, the other partially held shut because of the burns that scared his face, looking her over curiously out of sheer surprise, one hand still placed on the door as he stared in at her blankly, unaware what to do, or say to the young woman. He’d never exactly had people show up unexpected before, and he never would have guessed that he would.
“Hello?” He asked softly, half wondering if perhaps he’d finally started to hallucinate after being on his own for so long.

Genesis was the Princess, a title desired by most young women in the world, but loathed by those that received it. Her father, the King, had died when she was young, and her mother, being as compassionate as royalty could, entrusted her into the care of her aunt and uncle in a small town near the edge of the kingdom. Until then, she had never realized how simple life was for others. As a princess she was expected to do everything right, but when she lived, pretending to be a young girl without any title like everyone else, she was allowed to make mistakes. She was allowed to do whatever she pleased, and that was exactly what she did, too. Whatever she wanted, with nothing standing in her way. She went to school and got good grades, had friends, looked at boys, and did everything else girls were supposed to do. Everything that, really, a princess wasn’t allowed to do. She was even asked to a dance by a handsome, sweet, wonderful young boy who, in the end, she was forced to abandon when her mother called her home in secret. She’d been forced to forget her time without the kingdom, but she hadn’t. She remained fond of the idea of normal. The freedom to make your own way in the world, versus following the path that was laid out for you before you were even born.
After she’d returned back home, after years of living with her Aunt and Uncle, Genesis was brought into the public eye again. Her mother remarried, bringing a new King to the country, and the two created another heir; a younger sister for Genesis to live with. It had only been a few years since then, the night Genesis had been brought back to the palace at 16, now having grown to the fine age of 21, far past the beginnings of an eligible age for dating and marriage. Her parents, as kind as they could be sometimes, were more than lightly pushing in her off in the direction of being someone’s wife, something that troubled her more than anything else. She could wish to return to that simple time, when she lived away from everyone else, but wishes never came true. Not even for a Princess.
Genesis was aware that there were going to be some ‘war heroes’ brought in to be awarded for some act of valor. She’d never tried paying attention to many things that had to do with the war, at least, not when it was simple things like awards. She kept her eyes on the news, but she tried her best to do other things she preferred whenever she could. And war did not interest her. Actually, not many things here did.
She’d been in one of the back rooms changing her clothes out of something overly fancy to something more comfortable, a plain little dress that made her look beautiful, but was far more comfortable to wear than anything else she owned, not bothering to pay much attention to things that were happening around her,  when she heard a cough, making her jump instantly.
She fell backwards onto the floor out of sheer surprise, letting out a loud squeak, covering herself with whatever material she’d been presently holding in her hands, when her chocolaty eyes fell upon a figure at the door.
“Most people knock…” She murmured quietly, standing up slowly and disappearing behind a little standing curtain, tugging on her dress as fast as possible, her heart pounding with nervousness, for there was no doubt in her mind that the boy had seen her, whoever he was. “Um, you…” She started awkwardly, pushing one of her bright red locks behind her ear as she stepped out from behind the curtain, fully clothed this time. “How did you get in here?” She asked, staring at the boys back curiously. “And who are you, anyways?” She asked.

The woman was finally done analyzing everything, pushing it away in her mental files, and relaxing in the tub. It wasn't as if she were going to stay more than a day, so why shouldn't she just relax? But as her eyes grew heavy, seeming very llikely she would fall asleep in the tub, a voice greeted her eyes. She instantly jumped in the tub, some of the water sloshing over the edges as she hid herself. Lilith, with strangely expert-like skill, reached out and grabbed a towel with quick fingers, getting out of the tub without showing any vital body parts that all men seemed to like. When Lilith finally seemed to calm down, however, her heart only started to race even faster as she looked up to see the face of the man before her. "I, uh..." she hesitated, looking away and suddenly feeling very ashamed of herself. She decided not to ask any stupid questions and instead glared at him, holding her towel tight against her body. "It's bad-luck to walk in on a girl naked, you know."

"I'm not most people," he retorted with a smug tone. He glanced behind him, taking note that she was indeed dressed before he turned around to face her. His hair, blond and wavy, was tied up in an old leather tie as custom to the whole Navy regulations. He suddenly felt the urge to let his hair out, for a strange feeling of familiarity coursed through him as he stared at the women before him.
Completely disregarding her own question, he waved his hand in the air lazily as if watching the question float on by. "I'm sorry, but do I know you from some where?" He placed his hands on his lips, trying to concentrate rather intently and looking a little flustered. "I swear I do. I kind of get this feeling of resentment, you know, like..." Luis finally trailed off, his eyes going wide as he snapped his fingers and gracefully moved over toward the girl.
"I remember! you're that girl that never showed up."

Chadwick watched far too curiously as Lilith jumped up and covered herself with the towel, still not sure whether or not he was sane. He wasn’t sure why, though, if he was going insane, he would have imagined walking in on some poor, unsuspecting, naked woman. Sure he was lonely, but he hadn’t been aware that he was quite that lonely. But the way she heasitated when she first looked at him, that familiar look of disapproval and curiosity, that was something too honest to be conjured up. It was a natural reaction. And that’s how he knew the woman was real.
“I’m sorry.” He apologized curtly, nodding his head briefly, though he didn’t bother to turn around. “Forgive me, but my…social skills aren’t exactly up to date, as you can imagine.” He explained smoothly, pursing his partially burned lips together curiously as he stared at her face, being kind enough to at least not look over her body like some pervert, though she really did have an excellent figure. “But would I not be honest in saying it’s also bad luck to enter someone’s home uninvited?” He questioned, frowning at the young woman in front of him. “How did you get in here?”

“You’re not?” Genesis asked curiously with a small grin, knowing that, whoever this man was, he was new around here. Most men that walked in on her would be graveling at her feet trying to apologize for accidentally inappropriately looking at her, and though she did desire a bit of an apology for being startled, it really had been her fault for not locking the door. Being a princess, you weren’t really allowed to take responsibility for your actions. Someone else, someone lower, always took the blame for you, and for once Genesis didn’t mind having to take her part.
Whoever he was, he looked familiar to her, too, and her eyebrows furrowed in confusion. He was a sailor – she could tell that just from the way he was dressed, and the way his hair was tied, but he didn’t look like one of the probably hundred commanding officers she had met in her lifetime. Well, he could be, but he didn’t look official enough for that. At least, not in her opinion. And his behavior didn’t match, either, because what commanding officer wouldn’t realize they were in the presence of their Princess?
“Resentment?” She asked quickly, scowling at Luis’ sudden revelation, not sure if she should like what he said or not. “The girl that never…” She trailed off suddenly, her eyes going wide as she broke into a bright smile. “Luis? Luis Adair?” She asked quickly, letting out a bit of a laugh. “Look at you! You’ve sure grown! And you joined the navy?” She questioned happily, rushing forward to give him a big hug, not having seen any of her friends from her childhood for a very, very long time, it seemed. “What are you doing wandering around the halls of the palace here?”

"Ah!" Luis quickly raised his arms as the woman hugged him, not quite understanding the gesture as he stared down at her with a frown. But he eventually rested his hands on her shoulder, gently patting her on the back. "Uh, yeah. I don't think there's really anything a man can do right now. You either join the Navy or live on the streets.". The man hesitated, trying to recall who she was, only to frown in disappointment when he realized who she was. The red-hair seemed to give it away as he pushed her lightly back with a frown growing. "Hey, where were you that day?" he asked suddenly, not at all caring that this happened a while ago.

“Of course he did…” Chadwick murmured with a slight nod and a frown, feeling a little disappointed that he himself hadn’t come to that conclusion. Though, really, with the storm it was understandable for him to think otherwise. It wouldn’t be the first time that a lost traveler snuck into an empty-looking home to lavishly rest themselves before continuing on their journey. He paused, though, hesitating with the woman’s next statement, before sighing and turning around, allowing her to do whatever she pleased behind his back.
“I’m sorry,” He apologized quietly, still not quite sure what to do in this girls presence, or what to do with her in general. “But you’ve got to at least give me credit for wanting to protect my home. Not everyone who comes is exactly a, well, kind spirit.” He murmured. “My name is Chadwick, by the way. It wouldn't be rude of me to ask your name, would it?”

Genesis stared in slight surprise as he pushed her back a little and questioned her, something she never really expected him, or anyone else to do. As a princess, she was used to getting everything she wanted, and she wasn’t used to being asked questions. At least, not by people who were considered less important by others (something Genesis herself disapproved of greatly).
“Oh, I’m sorry…” She apologized quietly, reaching up and scratching at her hair gently, pursing her lips together as she tried to think of a quick lie. IT was obvious Luis didn’t know she was the Princess. Most people had never seen her before, even if they knew she existed, and though she’d known Luis not too long ago, she had never told anyone about her secret. That was, after all, the point of a secret. Not to tell anyone. “I wanted to go with you, really, I did. I didn’t just bail, but…an emergency came up, and I had to leave, otherwise…” She trailed off, shaking her head lightly. “I would have been in a lot of trouble.” She sighed, frowning sympathetically at Luis, finding him a rather attractive man, as he’d been in their youth, though he did seem to have put on a bit of muscle since then. “I’m sorry.”

Lilith got dressed as quickly as she could, though she looked a little worried all of a sudden at the worried tone in his voice. It struck her as a little odd. "Yes, well, you're not really helping the situation when you walk in on me when I'm naked." The girl blushed for a moment, sighing as she moved to stabnd beside the man and looking a little awkward as she avoided his gaze. "Uh, do you know what room I should be sleeping in?"

"You could've left me a note or something," he replied a bit resentfully, his eyes resting upon the beautiful red-head with a light frown. He shook his head, deciding it was best to get over the whole thing and just ask her a question. "Hey, what are you doing here anyway?" he asked softly, frowning at the girl as he crossed his arms. "I didn't know you worked for the King and Queen. I heard it's hard to work for them anyway." He eyed her with narrowed eyes, before suddenly grinning. "How have you been?"

“I’m sorry about that…” Chadwick apologized smoothly, not ready to turn around unless he knew for sure that the girl was fully clothed. He’d already bothered her once; he didn’t want to risk the chances of turning around too prematurely to find her half bare. But as he heard the woman come to his side, he glanced at her, noting that she was clothed, thus he could become less tense then he had been earlier.

His next comment was nothing but the truth, for the war really was far away from the palace. Far away from the kingdom, almost, and without being in it, no one really thought about it that much. Even the King would throw his concentration away from the war and concentrate on meaningless things, leaving the real, hard work to the generals and soldiers. “No, it doesn’t, really.” She murmured in agreement, nodding lightly at him with a sympathetic frown. But she smiled as he asked her to show him to his room, finding it a little…fun to be asked to do something for once. “Sure. Of course I will.” she nodded happily, laughing a little as she started walking a little faster, a bright smile on her face. “Which room did they say you were staying in?” She asked curiously, not even bothering to ask why he was there. He was part of the Navy, now, they were in and out all the time.

At least, not after…” He trailed off, pursing his lips together gently. “You’re probably curious about it, aren’t you?” He asked, eyeing her wearily. “My face? Its not exactly something you can just hide, so…I’ve kind of stayed out here.” He explained, nodding lightly. “Are you hungry?” He asked, changing the subject quite easily.

“Alright, well, don’t worry, we’ll find you the right room.” Genesis laughed lightly, offering him a bright reassuring smile. She sighed, though, as he asked for more depth in her reasons for leaving. She hesitated for a moment, trying to think of a quick lie without having to actually come out and discuss the actual reason; because she was a Princess. It was always better when people didn’t know, she could feel normal, and with everything going on lately, she’d like to have ‘normal’ for at least a little while longer.
“Yeah, I uh…” She paused, taking in a deep breath slowly. “My family was starting to move around and, I couldn’t really stick around, so I wound up coming here instead.” She nodded, offering him a small grin. “Its not really that big of a deal, but…I didn’t really have any warning, so…I’m sorry, if I knew I wouldn’t have stood you up like that. Really.”

But she let out an irritated sigh, deciding that she was over analyzing things again. But the 'conversation' seemed to take a different direction that made her a bit angry, staring as he spoke. "So, you're staying in this... scary castle-like thing because you're afraid of the butt-heads out there?" she frowned lightly. "Or you're not afraid. I don't know." The woman sighed lightly, closing her eyes and shaking her head. "Never mind." Lilith nodded eventually, sighing softly. "Yes, I am hungry."

Luis didn't quite like the whole ordeal, but he couldn't keep persisting. He only nodded with a little frown, following the pretty woman around the large castle. "Well, I guess I'll have to get use to how huge this place is." He wanted a castle, but the size intimidated him a bit. The boy smirked a little, knowing very well that he was holding a grudge against Genesis. "You look really good, you know," he said suddenly, a smug smirk on his face as he walked a bit faster to stand beside the girl.

She’d never intended to hurt anyone, really, but you didn’t have the privilege of keeping everyone you knew happy. Not in this life, at least.
She stopped in her tracks, though only briefly, as Luis complemented her, glancing back at him curiously as he rushed towards her. She hesitated, before smiling a little, finding his complement strangely flattering. She heard people tell her how beautiful she was all the time, but she knew it was because she was a princess. Hearing it from Luis was better than that, for he was unbiased. Even with a grudge. “Thank you.” She said brightly, a clear smile on her face. “You look good, too, you know.” She nodded, grinning excitedly at him. “Incredible, actually, for a soldier.”

Lilith shook her head, finding it a little disappointing about what he thought of people. It was true even if it wasn't, seeing as people were usually afraid of things they didn't understand. Lilith watched him lightly, frowning at the aadness she heard in his voice as she wished she could say something to make him feel a little better. As they got to the kitchen, she began to look around the room in search of something to eat. She finally found it with delight, pulling out the cake from the fridge and setting it on the counter as she swiped at the cake with her finger. "Yay, cake..." she hummed, smiling with her eyes closed, before peeking one eye open to glance over at him. "You can have some, if you want," she teased, trying to lighten the mood.

Luis grinned with amused, "Yes, I am charming looking, aren't I?" The blond looked positively smug by this compliment, glancing at her with that grin still on his lips. He reached up finally, pulling his hair from the tie since it was beginning to bug him and she just now reminded him that he still had it in. He paused as they walked through the castle, suddenly feeling as if he had been here before. "Ah, wait..." he paused. "Yeah, I think my room is near here somewhere." The man chuckled, glancing at the woman as he stopped walking. "Hey, what floor do you sleep on?" he questioned suddenly. "Uh, you know, since I might need someone to talk to."
