((Ughghhghg my arm really hurtsss stupid people making me sleep on their couchhh dude I'm really bitter towards people sometimes xDDD I feel bad lmao ))
He had never wanted to be like this. And it hadn’t always been this way, either. Oliver had been normal, once. Happy, once. He had even been remembered, once, but not anymore. It was a curse, a curse that he had been tricked into receiving. He didn’t even like thinking back over the story, for it was just a sad, disappointing tale of the life that he had once had, and had lost because of his own foolishness. He hated what he had become; the Gray Fox. No one knew who he was, really. That’s what the curse was, after all; people could forget him. They didn’t know who he was, or what he looked like, as long as he was wearing that mask of his. People wouldn’t remember, and he could get away with whatever he wanted. Sure, it sounded like a it of a gift, being able to do whatever you wanted, but really it was just a cruel, inhuman thing, and Oliver Mercer wanted to get rid of this curse as soon as possible. He’d been living under it long enough, now was the time to be rid of it. If he could find someone, someone brave and willing - someone more trustworthy than his own predecessor, then he could be free. So, as sketchy as it was, that was his plan; to find someone to replace him. And if he had to, he would trick them as easily as the old Gray Fox had replaced him. Oliver hated being the leader of this stupid thieves guild, but if he was going to be the leader, then they had to at least follow his rules, and they did. He knew that once he gave up being in command, then things would probably change, but he hoped they wouldn’t, as he was planning on choosing someone wise. It’s just…right now, he wasn’t seeing many wise people around him. He was at another one of the thieves guild meetings, and while normally he wandered around with his mask on, today he didn’t feel up to it. Besides, he liked being able to walk around as just Oliver, rather than as their leader. It made things calmer, and it meant that he could relax more. And if he was relaxed, then, hopefully, he could discern better, at least for tonight. Strangely enough, without that stupid mask, Oliver was actually quite recognizable. Not many people could forget the look of his blue eyes, the cheer in his warm, white smile (when he showed it), the angle of his face, the feathery lightness of his brown hair, or the deep, soothing force of his masculine, suggestive voice. He was handsome and, surprisingly, quite unforgettable to most - especially the women. But he didn’t care for that, not today at least. However, there was one person that caught his eye. He’d been watching her since the beginning of the meeting, to be honest. He didn’t recognize her - not at all. And that was something troubling to him. It was more normal for people not to recognize him, and a stranger…well, sometimes, and most of the time, that only meant trouble here. He had told himself to stay back - waiting, at first, but finally he decided that he needed to know who she was. She seemed eager, and interested, and he wasn’t sure whether he should be proud of that or not. So, as nonchalantly as he could, he moved towards her, and finally tapped her gently upon the shoulder. “Hello,” He greeted smoothly, looking her over with his ocean-colored eyes. “Have I seen you around here before?”
Autumn Harper wasn’t very outgoing, and perhaps that was one of her bigger flaws. Alright, so the eighteen year old had quite a few flaws - actually, more than quite a few, but she liked to think that the reason she didn’t have many friends came down to one thing; she wasn’t very outgoing. She, like plenty of other girls her age, didn’t like the thought of attributing her rather lonely social life to the fact that her hair was a messy, dark-colored lump of frizz, or that she was awkward, a bit too tall for her body, and rather scrawny as well - though she could blame her braces on her parents waiting far too long to get them put on. It was embarrassing, really, and whenever she was in a social gathering, it just made things worse. But maybe, if she wasn’t so nervous and timid all the time, things would get better. But, for now, things were just as they always were; horrible. The teenager knew that the only reason she’d gotten invited to this party was because they were neighbors - she and Amy, that is, the girl that was holding this little extravaganza of hormones and fun. Amy herself had never been close to Autumn - they were more like enemies, as a matter of fact, but Amy’s parents were good, and she knew that the blonde girl had only invited her because she didn’t want to deal with the repercussions from her parents if she didn‘t. And while Autumn didn’t really want to go, she knew that it would probably be good for her to get out around some people…even if they weren’t the best people. The first hour or so passed exactly how Autumn had imagined it; she, wandering around much like a loner, rarely encountered conversation until she bumped into another girl that, surprisingly, was willing to talk to her. And that’s how she’d gotten roped into this random little game of spin the bottle dubbed ‘Seven Minutes in Heaven’. Everyone knew how to play, of course - they /were/ teenagers, after all, and a little make out session in a closet or bathroom didn’t seem like a bad idea to most of them. Autumn, however, was pretty much dreading the idea of someone spinning that dumb bottle and having it land on her. Not that she’d mind a kiss from a handsome boy, it’d been quite a while since she’d had a boyfriend, but still; she could see it coming from a mile away, that ridicule. The first few pairs that were chosen had been rather successful and, almost a bit humorous and entertaining as well, but then, something odd happened as Autumn realized that the bottle was pointed straight at her, and her eyes fluttered up to meet the gaze of the spinner, hoping for at least someone handsome, unlike herself.

It was midnight, the time that the beggar had suggested, and cold outside. The fire that lit up the pebbled stones of the floor flickered briefly as a cool breeze brushed along, making that creepily familiar sound as though someone were whispering in her ear. But she knew better than to believe that, instead sneaking passed the crowds of people moving on to their homes for a good rest. They were ignorant to the fact that there would be a meeting of thieves right behind their houses, a meeting that might or might not hold the criminal that they were so desperate to capture. But why did it matter? As far as Kairi could tell, whoever this Gray Fox was, he seemed to be a compassionate person. He stole from the rich and gave to the poor, or so it appeared. The beggars, from what Kairi had experienced this morning, were pretty protective of him, so it would seem so. And Kairi was only too happy to wait for midnight. She was tired of hiding in the shadows with those people that called themselves her family. They were, to Kairi, her family, but they had also been lying to her. All this time she had been believing the people she had been killing were horrible, vicious people. When Kairi when to study them, learning their schedules, it seemed that way. They had all been rather cruel to everyone they had talked to, as Kairi had saw. She had been naive, believing everything the Dark Brotherhood had been telling her, even enjoying it a little. She didn't feel the need to go out in the world and explore, because at that time, she had everything she needed, and that was her family. They provided her with her food, with her clothes, weapons, and even jewelry. They seemed detached at times, sure, but they protected her, especially from any newcomers that took her naive nature into a whole new dark perpective, sometimes attempting to get the girl alone in a room. Kairi, however, could handle herself. She always had been, because they taught her everything she knew. It wasn't until a few weeks ago did she doubt her family. They had given her orders to go and kill a family, some family that had apparently stolen children and did horrible things to them in their basement. But when she went to go speak with the mother, she found that it was just an old lady, looking brittle and quite tired. Even if Kairi was new to this sort of thing, talking to the person she was actually suppose to be putting to rest for eternity, the girl knew that the old woman was innocent. Another member of the Dark Brotherhood decided to put an end to them for her, even though this wasn't what Kairi wanted, and she stayed up late at night thinking about what the man had done to them. Her new orders were to spy on the Thieves Guild, for they had been gathering the attention from some high official that wanted them gone. But Kairi thought that this would be a good opportunity, and so she went to the meeting, quite excitedly, talking amongst the others as happily and as normally as she could. Her auburn hair was up in a ribbon, to get it out of her face, wearing light armor that was tight against her skin, allowing her to move more flexiable than anything heavier than it. But even as she talked with others, finally feeling just a little normal, she felt someone behind her, tensing up just a little as she heard someone greet her in a strangely satisfying deep voice and then tap her shoulder. She glanced up into the bluest eyes she had ever seen, growing silent as she stared into them with surprise. "Hello," she muttered breathlessly. And of course she was new and he hadn't seen her, this was a meeting to get new recruits, wasn't it? How could he have seen her before. "No, I don't suppose you have. Is that a bad thing?" There was something off about him, she noticed. Being what she was, she picked up on this easily. She felt as though she were being... checked out, in a suspicious way. "My name is Kairi Ann, sir." She offered her his hand, giving him a grin, though it seemed a little odd coming from a girl that was dressed in all black and gave off the feeling of someone with sneaky, devilishly fingers.
Unlike Autumn, a certain boy had always lived in the lights, mostly for his looks than anything. He wasn't rich or good at any sort of sport, though he preferred baseball over anything. Jesse Hawkins was just a good-looking guy with a sweet deposition, known for talking to anyone and everyone. He was the nice guy that people looked for, but also the guy that sort of had this... feeling about him. It was a feeling hard to describe -- though girls thought it to be some sort of mysterious feeling. Jesse was a calculating sort of lad, who thought of his actions before he did them, and seeing as it was their last year here at high-school, the boy was trying to comprehend something. He seemed to... brood at times. But despite all of that, Jesse was fine company, even though he sometimes lost it and got drunk and starting shouting at people. They all knew -- those closest to him, if you could even call them that -- that Jesse had a personal vendetta against his mother. After his father died in the military, his mother at first became a drunken wench who went around whoring herself over every man she saw, this in turn creating a bad example for Jesse. He grew up, his mother got wealthy off the benefits, and he tried everything he could at getting back at her. If throwing a party, or even getting drunk at a party, would upset her, he'd do it. This party, however, was a lot quieter than he expected. The people wanted to play "spin the bottle" or some crap like that, and Jesse only felt like laughing his head off. After all, how old did they think he was? But the girl he was with continued to insist, and he eventually gave in when she whispered something low in his ear. He was just a little tipsy, perhaps to the point where he'd agree to do something stupid, like play some childish game. He sat down on the ground, rolling his blue eyes as the girls squealed and the boys licked their lips. His fingers managed to find their way through his hair, managing to push the strands away as he let out a great big yawn. It couldn't be that bad, could it? At the last moment, another person joined their ranks of idiocy, and it was a very unfamiliar girl. A girl with very dangerously messy hair and an unfamiliar face. He found himself staring a little longer than he expected, trying to figure out just who she was. Even if she looked unfamiliar, there was something inside Jesse that was telling him he should know who she was, and just a little guilt washed over him. The girl looked uneasy in her surroundings, and he couldn't blame here. The people here were either drunk and molesting each other on the couches, or passed out near the pool. He was thinking so much, as he found himself doing lately, that he didn't even realize that the bottle he had been forced to spin had landed right on the girl he had been staring at. The blond girl beside him let out a horrified gasp as she realized that she probably shouldn't have forced Jesse into this game, but the boys in the group started howling with laughter as they pushed Jesse up from the ground as well as the girl, perhaps a bit more forcefully than they did Jesse. As soon as they were in the closet, the boys from outside locked the door, still snickering as they went back to their places. Jesse frowned as he stared a little nervously at Autumn. "I've got a cold," he blurted out suddenly, not even sure why he had even said it. Why was it such a bad thing to kiss her? Despite her braces and hair, she didn't look that bad, and it wasn't as if he was asking her to marry him. He was just suppose to kiss her.

((Duuddeee I have a terrible immune system =/ It sucks. a lot. I get sick all the timeee and now I have a collddd andnddd I'm misserable xDDDD I hate this so mucchhhhh )) She was a pretty girl, Oliver supposed, but that was the trouble with her. She was a bit too pretty for the type of girl he would imagine might want to join up in his group. And besides, pretty girls were always the sneakiest – and the most suspicious, especially around here. “Not necessarily.” Oliver replied with a small smirk, watching the brunette with inquiring, suspicious eyes. He hadn’t seen her before, he knew that for sure. He’d decided it as soon as she turned around to face him. But, he hadn’t seen her enter with anyone that he knew, either, and that stuck out to him as even more mistrustful, much as it had many times with other people before. And if she hadn’t been invited by someone that he knew, then she had to have found out about this meeting somewhere else, and he couldn’t help but wonder If that ‘somewhere’ was a good place or a bad. For all he knew, she could be out here to try and find him, the Gray Fox, for reasons other than her own interest. Politely, he returned her grin with one of his own, bearing his white teeth as kindly as he could, yet, to anyone that might have known him, it was probably a bit too obvious that he didn’t exactly trust her. His eyes fell to her hand, watching it wearily for a few moments, as though he wasn’t quite sure whether it was safe to accept it and give it a shake. So, he hesitated, and after a bit of hesitation, a moment or two of thought, he reached out and took it, giving her a firm handshake. “It’s nice to meet you, Kairi.” Oliver murmured smoothly in his deep voice, finally pulling his hand away from hers to tuck it delicately into his pocket, glancing her over once more to make sure that she wasn’t concealing any sort of weapon or such – when you were in a group such as this, it was best to always be on your guard, even if you really shouldn’t be. “I’m Oliver.” He explained simply, deciding it was best to leave out his last name – just in case, though it wasn’t as if she’d be able to tell he was that mysterious leader of this bunch anyways. “May I ask what brings you here?” He asked curiously, his blue eyes staring into hers imploringly, as he reached up and dubiously ran a hand back through his light hair.
Never in a million years would Autumn have guessed that she might in a situation such as this. You could have told her, showed her a picture, or even played a bit of video, and she still wouldn’t have believed it. As a matter of fact, even now, as her eyes met the icy blue ones across from her that she’d spend the next few minutes with, she barely managed to grasp that the man she’d be locked in a closet with was Jesse Hawkins. Autumn may not have known Jesse on a personal level, but she did know him. Everyone knew him, even someone as outcast as Autumn. Jesse was handsome, of course – very handsome, and that’s probably what made him attract the most attention (well, that, and she’d heard a number of rumors that he was fun). But with his dark, feathery brown hair, and a stare that made every girl melt, how could a girl not find him attractive? But while Autumn knew few things about him, she already had it decided that he knew much less about her. Her cheeks turned bright red as she stared at him in awe, her heart already racing fast. She was so nervous and in awe that she didn’t even realize that she had been pushed up onto her feet and towards Jesse until she heard the definitive slam of the closet door, locked in closer quarters with him than she had ever been before – or probably ever would be. She knew that she should say something, or do something, instead of just standing there like an idiot with her mouth propped open, but after a few more seconds of silence, Jesse happened to be the first to speak in a deep, incredible voice that practically made her heart stop beating all together. But his words brought her no happiness as she instead simply blushed more, and glanced down at her hands, awkwardly twirling her fingers together nervously. “I see…” She murmured, her tone doubtful as she hesitated, before glancing up to Jesse with a small, but incredibly timid smirk. “Um, it’s…okay, you know; I get it. I know I’m not, erm, your ‘type’ or something. You don’t have to make up an excuse. I, uh, honestly doubt that if you had a cold you’d come running out to a party.” She shrugged, biting her lip gently as she turned her eyes away from him, enveloped in the awkwardness and awe of the moment, her heart still racing beneath her skin. “I’m Autumn.” She nodded, deciding that she might as well introduce herself if she was going to be in here with him, alone, for a little while. Besides, she might as well enjoy what she could now, for she knew exactly what would happen once they opened the doors again, and it wasn’t going to be good – for her, at least.

Despite all that training on keeping her heart at a constant beat seemed to fail in that second. It seemed that Oliver had a clear voice, demanding in a way that captured her attention, told her that she should be lying her face off and should come right out and tell him. But she couldn't, knowing that even if she was doubtful toward her little family as of late, she also knew she couldn't simply blurt out something as dangerous as that. Besides, she could easily tell that he didn't trust her, and though she knew that wouldn't help with what she was trying to do, it also told her she needed to be careful. "I just..." she paused, keeping her gaze on him as she looked away nervously. "I just wanted to belong somewhere." Isn't that what he offered? He treated the beggars to riches, and she believed it to be a good thing. Why couldn't she simply enjoy a little of something that could get rid of this guilt she felt? Her eyes rested up to his hair, watching his hand slip through a little more closely than she probably should have before her gaze fell back down to him, slowly smiling at him. "Are you going to tell me what I have to do, Oliver?"
Jesse couldn't help but want to make her feel better after her face seemed to fell. He wanted her to feel like this wasn't some stupid thing, he didn't want to insult her, but he just didn't want to do this. And he didn't really care if he kissed her, because it was honestly just a kiss, and he'd get laughed at either way, considering they were in here to begin with. But he just didn't want to, he didn't want to get her hopes up, or even creep her out. And mostly, he just didn't know who she was. "Jesse Hawkins," he said slowly, grinning a little at the girl. But her words made him scowl. After all, when someone had a thought like that, they didn't say it, but she apparently didn't care whether or not she did, knowing very well that the woman doubted him. "Look," he sighed, "I didn't want to come today, but it doesn't help that the person who was driving you home just drags you here."

((Dudududee you no talk to meeee =( )) “Belong somewhere?” Oliver asked interestedly, one of his eyebrows perching up higher than the other as he stared at her. He couldn’t help but smile, though, strangely finding her answer a little more satisfactory than he was expecting. It wasn’t a very explanatory answer, of course, but he couldn’t help but feel like there was something honest behind it. It seemed more…genuine then just saying that she had stumbled in, which he wouldn’t have believed for a second - especially not with the way that she was dressed. “Alright, I guess I can understand that. I’m not sure why you would pick here, but…I get it.” He nodded, still watching her closely. She knew they were robbers, right? Criminals, even if they were doing something that was, overall, viewed as good by the people. It didn’t make it right, sure – they were still being thieves, but it was for something greater than themselves, yet even if that were true, they could be arrested, and he wasn’t sure why someone as pretty as Kairi would risk winding up in jail for the rest of her life. “Well, I could…” Oliver started ominously, smirking rather deviously at the pretty girl. “But I’m not entirely sure you’d be up to it. Of course, I might just be underestimating you, but you see, there’s not really an ‘easy’ way to get in.” He said, frowning slightly as he stared into her eyes curiously, wondering if she’d be able to do what she needed to. “There’s a lot easier ways to ‘belong’ somewhere, Ms. Ann. You’re going to have to break laws, and believe in what you’re doing. If you’re up for that, then I welcome you, but if you’re not, I suggest going back to wherever you’re from and fitting in somewhere back there instead.”
She liked the way he grinned – it made her heart beat a little faster, if only for a moment. She knew he didn’t like her, that was obvious, even if it wasn’t intentional. She wasn’t insulted, really. Sure, she was a tad disappointed he wasn’t going to go ahead and go through with the whole point of the game, but it’s not like he’d sought her out and given her a false hope. They just got thrown together, by accident. So what if she’d always thought of him as handsome? “Oh…” She breathed, looking at him in awkward surprise as he further explained himself, pursing her lips together gently as she stared at him, deciding to memorize his face now, while she could, so she would never forget the way he looked up close, because she’d probably never see him this way again. “I’m sorry. Um, that was a bit judgmental of me…” She flushed, glancing down at her feet awkwardly as she scratched the side of her head gently, all of her nerves swirling around in her stomach. “So you kind of got roped into this whole thing then, too, huh?” She asked, frowning lightly at Jesse. “So much for free will…”

(((Ughhhhhh I ate too muccch or too fast And thhheree I tallkked lol)))
A strange feeling washed over her as he smiled, her cheeks turning pink as she turned to look away. But his words weren't as reassuring as his smile, especially when he continued on to say that he didn't think she could steal something when all her life, breaking into houses had been her specialty. The assassinations, of course, had just been her job. Her eyes darkened as she thought of going back to her 'family', shaking her head once more as she turned and narrowed her eyes at him challengingly. "Just try me, Mr. Oliver." She frowned, her heart beginning to beat fast as she turned to face him, crossing her arms.
He nodded. "Yeah," he looked at her, smirking just a little as he nodded. "But I guess that's what happens when you get involved with annoying little people." He shrugged his shoulders, glancing toward the door. The time was either flying by slowly, or they were giving them a few "extra" more moments to finish up. He sighed and rubbed at his eyes, clearly looking tired as he gave her a small smile, as though to prove he wasn't an ass, and that he really didn't mind talking to her. But what else could he do? He should have just walked off, he just didn't want to hurt her feelings, as pathetic as it sounds. "So, you don't look like you normally go to these things."

How was he to know that she had been an assassin, someone perhaps even more specialized than himself? It wasn’t as though she went around declaring it, and sure, her clothes were dark and suspicious, but for all he knew, she might just like the color. Sure, he didn’t’ trust her at all, but that didn’t mean he thought that she was quite that devious. But as she turned to him, and stared at him the way that she did, with so much determination and power, he couldn’t help but get good vibes from it. He could tell that she wasn’t going to go away easily, and that was a good thing, especially in his line of work. “Alright,” He nodded, smirking as he returned her stare, crossing his own arms the same way that she had done, though perhaps not as forcefully. “You’re going to have to bring us something; something valuable. You’re going to have to steal from someone wealthy and powerful, like…Lord Brennan for instance. He’s pretty closely watched, so it’s not going to be easy, but we have to know that you can do it, so…bring us something of his, something valuable, and famous, so we know that it actually is his, and you’re in.” He nodded, frowning lightly as he ran his tongue over his lips briefly, pursing them together as he watched her with inquisitive eyes. “You up for it?” He asked.
His presence must’ve been contagious, because Autumn found herself strangely giddy, strangely smiling each time that he did, her ideas and opinions of him all formulating and changing as they shared the same space. She knew their time was running thin, and really she was just starting to dread getting let out, but she couldn’t help but feel a mixture of emotions right now. She was in a closet with Jesse Hawkins for crying out loud; it’s not like she could be miserable, for now. She snickered at his question, however, her eyes flying back up to his shyly. “You could tell, huh?” She asked, smirking a little as her eyes met with his. “Yeah, I uh…live across the street, so my guess is that someone…older pressured Amy into inviting me here.” She sighed, shaking her head lightly. “I wasn’t going to come, but my parents wanted me out of the house for once, so…I wound up here.” She paused, hesitating thoughtfully for a moment. “So, did your friend drag you here for fun, or just to irk you?”

(((Ehh On the first episode They already go on to say "Ohh, chadwick and the blond chick are meant to be together.. It's in the starrs" XDD so yeah Lily just wants them to get eaten. And she's debating dying her hair.)))
She knew he didn't know that, but the fact that he was doubting her capabilities without even testing her sounded a little judgemental. But her anger only lasted for so long, watching as he himself crossed his arms, making her feel quite childish. But she nodded once he began to speak, thinking he was being a little arrogant as he mentioned something of Lord Brennan, as if this were some great, amazing feat. "I'll do it..." she muttered, her eyes resting on him even though a bit of her confidence seemed to fall. "Are you coming with me?" she asked softly, her eyes appearing quite imploringly into his own.
"Oh." He didn't know why anyone's parents would do that to their own child, forcing them to go some place they didn't want to. But he smiled comfortingly at her, because he didn't want to make her feel as though he were laughing at her. "How about I walk you home?" If she lived close by, it would be easy to just walk across the street. And besides, it'd give her parents something to talk about, wouldny it? He moved to open the door, ignoring the laughter and the shouts of victory. He wanted for Autumn by the front door, growing a little impatient as he noticed the girl he had come with was now looking for him. But when Autumn did come, he grinned, holding the door opened so he could be polite.

She was a curious person, really. Smiling one moment and defending herself the next – of course, he was being rather inquiring, but he did rather like her already. She was determined and strong, or at least, probably strong, but she had enough guts to come here on her own, so there must be /something/ right with her. And the fact that she was agreeing, flat out, to do something, without even bothering to speak with someone that might be considered ‘higher up’ than Oliver (though, really, he was the highest of the high here), and the fact that she was taking his orders well only made him like her more. “How about…tomorrow, after dark? I’ll meet you there, north corner of the home, there’s heavy tree cover there, it should be harder to be noticed there. How we go in is your idea, but…” He paused, looking at her very seriously. “If we run into trouble, I’m not coming back for you.”
“Uh, what?” Autumn asked, her eyes fixing on Jesse in sheer surprise. He’d surprised her before just by speaking with her, but suggesting that he might walk her home had to take the cake. He was kidding, right? But as she stared at him, she realized that he didn’t seem to be kidding, and with that realization, she couldn’t help but smile. “Um…Sure, I’d like that.” She nodded, blushing far brighter than she ever had before. Events unfolded exactly how she had expected once they were allowed out of that stupid closet, Jesse was whisked away with laughter and joking, while Autumn met several glares. It bothered her, yes, but she tried not to concentrate on it, even if all the anger and annoyance was staring her straight down in the face. She wanted to get out of there as fast as possible, of course, and fortunately, she found Jesse waiting at the door once she reached it, a flattered, exciting little smile showing on her face as she greeted him, despite all the anxiety swirling around in her stomach still. “Hey,” She greeted sweetly, stepping outside the door as he opened it for her, deciding he was being a lot more polite than she honestly expected out of him. “Thank you.” She murmured, pausing on the doorstep to stare back at him curiously. “You don’t…really have to walk me home, you know. I mean, if you really want to, its fine, but…I can manage walking across the street on my own.”

((Lily: -doesnt like being blond- blondes are stupid, its true. I will not contribute. Me: you sound like a computer. "Does not compute." Titus: -isconfused- what?))
"No heroes amongst thieves, I'm guessing?" she replied, feeling a little put out by his words. And, clearly, they were all the same, just like where she had come from. But at least there, they watched each other's backs, and she could count on them. That's what she believed, yes, but it was the man who gave them orders she was beginning to question. Why had she thought this "thieves guild" be any better? The woman let her eyes close, nodding her head, trying to tell herself that this was all apart of the game. "You won't scare me out of this, blondie." Kairi wasn't about to run at the mere thought of being left behind. She had broke into a prison once without killing anyone, think what she could do getting out of a place where she could harm people. She just didn't want it to come to that. "And if I get whatever I came for, then you have to tell me your name, okay?" The womane felt herself smirk as she patted his shoulder, perhaps a bit too roughly as she took off to find shelter at an Inn. The next day passed relatively fast, but she could only assume that it was because she was being impatient and ended up gambling with a few old men down by the town market. The sun was setting, and the light seemed to be cut when the star vanished behind one of the large, looming churches before her. It made her feel dirty, staring at them. She had only ever set foot in one when she had been little, and by then, she had been taken in and kept in secret. But the time was now moving, and she set off toward where Oliver had told her to meet him. It was easy sneaking passed the guards, so when she found the blond man, she crept up behind him before placing her hands on his eyes. "Guess who," she breathed into his ear, unable to contain her giggle.
"If it's so close, I don't see what the problem is with walking you home. It's not like I have to hike a mountain or anything." A hike sounded nice actually, to get away from all this drama of school, but that didn't mean he had the time. School was ending, and everything was so stressful. His mother didn't care about his grades, so someone had to. But he just kept getting distracted. This, however, was nice. Jesse was sure that Autumn would provide a fruitful conversation instead of one where the ditzy blond he had come to the party with who only spoke about material things. Jesse knew he should've payed more attention to people like Autumn during school. He shook his head. "So, what are you planning to do after you graduate?" Jesse felt a little proud of himself for asking. Almost all this friends, save for a few, like one boy named Titus, didn't sound as though they were going to do anything with their lives. It was nice to talk about something important once in a while. But despite all that, the threat of being left behind was still there, even if he felt as though he had it all planned. He ran a hand through his hair, releasing a small sigh as he looked toward the houses lined up at the side. "Which one is yours?"

((Chadwick: But I like you as a blonde... =( -doesntwanthislillytochange- -snuggleslilly- You're the smartest, most beatuiful woman I've ever met. So now Imma have to watch the whole movie again someday just to look for him xDDD )) “Blondie?” Oliver asked, looking quite surprised, and perhaps even a little offended at her comment. It irked him a little, to be honest, like she thought he was stupid, when really he was running this whole thing. But he shrugged it off, deciding just to let it go, before he nodded in agreement to her proposition, planning on meeting her exactly as he had suggested the next day. He was waiting al little while before she showed up, staking out the place in the darkness, but he preferred it that way. It gave him a chance to think ahead, to plan ahead, and find the easiest way out if they were run into trouble – of course, he’d been here plenty of times before on his own, but this time might be a little different. He didn’t know what to expect from Kairi, but he wasn’t necessarily giving her the benefit of the doubt. He’d been standing in the shadows, hidden mostly by the trees, when he caught the sound of someone approaching, followed by someone reaching over his eyes. Instantly, not even thinking, he reached up and grabbed at the persons wrists, reacting subconsciously to the idea of being assaulted, or even caught. He was about to snap back at her, his hands locked tightly around her wrists, when he heard her speak, and he instantly let go, his adrenaline rush falling short. “You shouldn’t do that, you know.” He scolded quickly with a frown, turning around to face the pretty brunette, who, even in the dark seemed to look her best. “Fortunately, for now, surprising me works in your favor.” He added with a quick smirk.
“That is true.” Autumn laughed lightly with a smile, staring over at Jesse with a sweet, almost affectionate look in her eyes. She started to lead him slowly back to her home, taking each step rather gracefully, as she was no longer in as much as a rush to get home as she had been earlier. Now that she had company, and so far, rather charming company, there was really no reason to rush getting back home. “Well, I was thinking about being a teacher.” Autumn answered without much thought as Jesse asked her a question, shrugging lightly. She’d always been drawn to the idea of teaching, really. Ever since she was little, when her own teachers had been influencing her so much. It had always been her ‘when I grow up’ answer, and now that it was getting close, she could only feel excitement about furthering her education – even when all the other girls were more concerned about boys like Jesse, even if it was very easy for Autumn to see why. “I’ve pretty much wanted to be one for as long as I can remember, so…why not?” She sighed, grinning. “What about you, Jesse? Any plans, or are you just going to...I don’t know, go where the wind takes you?” She asked, smiling as she led him across the street, pointing to a little white house about two houses from where they were standing now. “It’s that one, so, no, no mountains to hike.” She snickered.

((Lily: of course you like blondes. Me: all he has are blondes. annd what were you going to say? Titi: saaaaal. o.o -confused-
he's probably covered in face paint or something)))
She, of course, expected him to do what he did, watching as his hand tightened on her wrist. When he seemed to realize who it was, however, she found herself grinning a little cheekily. "I'm confident I could've taken you if you did anything," she reassured, looking a bit amused as she crossed her arms. However, it confused her just a little, when she had heard that one of the rules had been that no one was allowed to be hurt on these sort of missions. What, did Oliver had some sort of exception to that rule? She sighed slowly, her eyes keeping locked on him. She shrugged as he carried on, not really thinking much on whether or not that was a comment, or even a warning. "I guess," she said softly, soon biting on her lip as she looked him over a little warily. "So, we going in now, or what?"
"I don't know." Jesse thought he had something planned out, but was it really something he should do? It seemed to have messed up his life pretty bad, even though his mother was off being happy with all this crap-load of money she got. He shook his head. "But a teacher," he nodded, looking quite impressed and a little surprised. "That's nice. But all the teachers I know complain about how little money they get, so, you know, I guess you have to be patient." When they finally reached her house, he smiled a little as he noticed her hesitant steps. He didn't mind, really. She, at least, got his jokes, where as that stupid blond chided him for being "silly." "So, are your parents home?" He wondered if they'd be interested in knowing who walked their daughter home, or they'd just be glad /someone/ did.

((Chadwick: No, I only like one blond, and her name happens to be Lilith. =) Mur: You know, the Lilith on SPN was blonde too xDDDD LMAO Chadwick: >=( Mur: Annywayys I forgot xDDD I think it was going to be either a space oddessy reference or a lost in space one xDDD I forgot LMAO Salem: I loovee you, sexy. >=D Mur: I think she's horny xDD probabbablyy xDDD But I doubt he was an indian LMAO And dudueee the music from forest gump prettyyy xDDDD Have youuuu watched spn yet? =( I love cass so muucchhhh imma cry whenever I see him now xdDD Misha is gunna have way too much fun now xDDD )) “Oh, you could have?” Oliver asked, sounding doubtful as he eyed the girl wearily for a moment, noting the way she crossed her arms once again, as though his sheer presence was starting to offend her. “Maybe…but for some reason I doubt it.” Sure, no one was supposed to get hurt, but if he got into some sort of trouble, he was going to get himself out of it. He’d never kill anyone, no, his morals were higher than that, but knocking someone out for an hour or two wasn’t so bad. “And I was just about to ask you the same thing.” He nodded, smirking a little as he stood up straight and glanced to the home. “It’s your mission, you know; you’re in charge. Go ahead and lead the way, mademoiselle.”
“Well, that’s not a bad thing.” Autumn shrugged, offering Jesse a sweet smile, brushing a bit of her own hair away back behind her ear so she could stare at him better, not that it helped much, her hair was pretty much all over the place to begin with. “My dad took about three years off school before he decided to be a pilot, and he loves it.” She nodded, hoping to look a bit reassuring as she stared at him. She laughed, though, for his words were actually quite true. But, growing up with two older brothers, Autumn really didn’t feel like she had a problem with patience. Actually, it was probably one of her best virtues. “Well, I’m pretty sure that I can handle it.” She said with a firm nod, looking quite determined, which, in all honesty she was. “And my dad’s not on a flight, so yes. But my mom’s probably gone to bed by now, and my father doesn’t own a gun, if that’s what you’re wondering.” She teased, pausing in front of the door. “Besides, I don’t really think he’d mind all that much anyways.” She nodded, sighing lightly as she stood suddenly still, lacing her fingers together in front of herself. “Thanks, you know, for walking me home, Jesse. It was really…sweet of you.”

((Cas better not be dead, Or at least not that way. :/ he deserves a nice respectable death lol
And I like how they had food for Death like he was a dog xD))
A wave of unease washed over her as she heard the doubt in his voice. Kairi knew she was good, she had been trained to hurt people since she was little, but she just never had anyone who had doubted her abilities, and that also made her angry. She knew she shouldn't be angry at him. He was just trying to test her, wasn't he? Kairi dropped her arms back at her side, moving around him and examining the two large doors that led into the basement. This was usually the best way to get in. The locked, she noticed, was also rusty, so it would be easy to break. Her theory proved correct as she pulled out a long dagger, bending down to open the lock quite easily. Kairi sent a smug look in Oliver's direction, before disappearing down the steps. She stayed silent, having been prepared for this by wearing light shoes that wouldn't make sound against the thick stone floors. The sneaking part was easy, of course. Even when Oliver was there, distracting her just a little, she still managed to get to this Lord Brennan's room. Luckily, the man wasn't there, and she stood in the room while releasing a heavy sigh. "Should I take the jewelery box, the fancy silk clothes, or how about that nice sword over there?" She turned her brown gaze over to her "audience," growing a little self-conscious now that she was speaking to Oliver. "I could kill him and see what he has on him." On the way to the Lord of the house's room, they had spotted the very man cursing at some servants. He deserved a death, right?
Jesse grinned at the girl, even though he also felt guilt along with it. Everything would go back to normal after this, he knew. He'd go back to acting like he cared about the friends he hung out with, while she went back to what she did. It was a little disappointing honestly. Autumn was real, and here he was, actually considering going back to that fake blond in the party who was probably already passed out drunk. "You shouldn't go to parties like that anymore," said Jesse slowly, observing her with narrowed eyes. "You're better than them, you know? They've probably already lots half their IQ points." He gave her a small, charming smile to show her that his words were sincere, before patting her lightly on the shoulder and walking back off to the house that was louder than any other.

((I knowowowooww omg if thats how he dies Imma kill sera like xDDD serioussllyyyy Cass has GOT to come back LMAO even though Misha's probably over there like "YESSSS I GET TO BE CREEPAAYYY!" xDDDDD lmao I know xDDD that was funny xDDD And the part where Dean asked for grey poupon, LMAO like, seriously Dean? XDDDD not a cheeseburger or something? LMAO )) Oliver wasn’t easily impressed; plenty of people could attest to that. More often than not, he was bitter about everything, and that may have impeded his judgment just a bit. Fortunately, he had a knack of underestimating people, rather than overestimating them, which was usually a pretty good thing. He’d rather be impressed than disappointed, and right now, he was very impressed. A small, boyish grin tugged brightly onto his face as he followed silently after Kairi, taking a note of every move that she made. She might be a girl, a pretty girl, but so far she was proving to be excellent, and that made him like her much more than anything else could. He rushed after her as fast as he could, which actually kept him at a pretty good pace, but she having a head start made it to Lord Brennan’s room before he did. “The box and the clothes.” He said smoothly, not even bothering to hesitate as his blue eyes flashed up to meet her. “They’re easier to disperse without getting tracked down. That sword might be worth a lot, but it’s got history attached to it; it’ll be harder to sell.” He explained, nodding firmly. “Besides, we have four hands tonight, so why not take more?”
Four years later, and Autumn still didn’t know just why that night had always stuck with her. Maybe it was because it had been the first time a handsome guy had ever talked to her, though, since then there had been plenty of them. Or, maybe it was just Jesse’s sheer honesty and kindness that made that night memorable, above anything else. Four years later, and she could still remember the way he patted her on the shoulder and smiled, and even though it had been about the same amount of time, Autumn couldn’t even remember her graduation day that well. But, nonetheless, four years had passed, and plenty of things had changed. For one, Autumn knew how to take care of herself now. Not that she didn’t know how to bathe or anything like that, but she could actually make herself look quite appealing to the eye of the opposite sex. As a matter of fact, she was extremely good at attracting their attentions now, she just didn’t…like it all that much, and no matter how strange, or silly, or corny it sounded thinking back upon that night four years ago, all she could ever do was hear that smooth voice telling her ‘You’re better than them’, and she was. For a while, at least. For now, though, she was a little too preoccupied about other things to think about men and their many issues. She found herself, oddly enough, back in her home town where that strange night four years ago had occurred, actually dinning at the home of the boy that had spoken those words to her. She’d accepted a job working for Jesse’s mom, as a matter of fact, which wasn’t a bad job, and she needed the money. In the past few months, her whole idea of being a teacher had gone to the wayside, at least for a little while, and staying close to home was…a very good thing. But sitting in Jesse’s home, she couldn’t help but wonder how he had lived, day to day, in the very room she was allowed in now, without him even knowing it. As a matter of fact, she doubted that he even remembered her – not that she would’ve cared either way, but his words had meant an awful lot to her over the years, and sitting peacefully in his home only reminded her of that. It gave her a weird, sort of protected feeling, and she liked it. She didn’t even care so much when, just as they were about to sit down to dinner, there was an unexpected knock on the front door of Jesse’s old home. Sighing, Autumn dropped her hand from running through her dark, sleek, shinny, and magically straight hair, smoothing out her dress a little as Mrs. Hawkins went to answer the door, unaware of the two bodies that would be emerging from behind it.
