((BUUT I AM SOOO borededdd askfjsda nothing to do whatsoever i hate it here annd what's wrong with me no one ever wants to rp with me >:c my writing suckss)))
She giggled lightly at him, tilting her head to the side and letting herself smile. "Oh, yes, I forgot about your work." She watched him curiously as he moved back a little, staring at her with a serious expression, and she only frowned in response. Maybe he would remember, but sometimes even memories couldn't stop someone from moving on to another. The woman lightly kissed him back, peering at him curiously as she nodded and sighed. "I hope you do..." she said softly, moving close and burrowing herself into his arms. "I wouldn't want you to forget me."
Dorian frowned at her words. He knew he should be happy, delighted, because in a way she was telling him something no one really had before, but he couldn't be. He was lying to her, and Jack was lying to Calypso. Why couldn't they ever do one thing right? He poked her nose with a smirk, letting out quiet chuckle. "I could have a twin out there, you know."

((I sooorrryyyy =( And whahtt? You trying to cheat on meee? XDDDDD Noooooo lmaaoo naweh its okay I slow and bussyy soooooo yehhh but nooo duude your writing doesn't suck idk why you always say that. =/ It's great writing maann xDDD and duduee last night I had a dreaamm well, actually, it was this afternoon when I fell asleep on my couch at home cause I not getting any sleep here but anyways I had this dreaaamm and likkee I thinnk I was autumn anddd jesse was definitely my tenis coach xDDDDD LMAO so hottt he got real snuggly when i was practicing xDDDD Then he asked me outt annd just when I was leaving for the date I rolled of the couch =( It sucked xDDDDDD LMAAOOOO )) Jack had made good on his word by not forgetting about that one moment they had together out in the barn. Of course, it had only been a few days since then, but the memory rang just as clear as though it had just happened a second ago. Every time he’d seen Calypso since, a sneaky, loving smile spread across his face, showing that he really did adore her, and he was already quite sure that he always would. But something was going to happen that would change things, at least for a while. Jack was up late, working on finding any information that he could, searching the local papers and making notes, trying to get back to concentrating on the case. As much as he wanted Calypso, as much as he wanted to stay here with her forever, he still had a job to do, and so did Dorian, even if Dorian, too, had grown incredibly fond of one of their hosts. Jack could tell, just seeing the look in Dorian’s eyes whenever he spotted Kerrin, that there was something going on between them. He didn’t care to ask what, but he could tell it was something similar to what he and Calypso were doing, even if Dorian was less likely to be outside sneaking around, sleeping with the Kerrin in the barn. But his hunting partners physical activities were the least of his worries for now, as a sudden sound from down the hall caught his attention; the sound of something falling, and breaking. Now, a noise had stirred everyone in the house before, but there was something different this time. It was a chill. Something that made Jack shiver, and instantly he knew something was very wrong. Then there was a scream from down the hall, and he never got out of bed faster in his life. He rushed down the hall, into Calypso’s room, and saw the most terrifying thing he’d ever seen; a monster actually attacking Calypso. He didn’t know what it was, exactly, but that didn’t matter, because his instincts took over immediately, and he rushed to her aide. He wasn’t sure how he stopped it, exactly, he knew he’d fired his gun and it had disappeared, but the last ting he knew was that he was carrying Calypso out of her room, rushing downstairs with her in his arms, the most concerned, scared look on his face as he stared down at her in fear. “Are you okay?” He asked, repeating the same question over and over again with worry as he carried her outside, setting her down on the ground in a panic.
Kerrin, as usual, was fast asleep in her bed, her dreams tainted with the wonderful boy she cared about so much. However, it was when she was something that something woke her up. It was the sound of her door creaking open, which woke her, and made her stare over at the door in confusion. “Dorian, is that you?” She asked slowly, only to see something that…couldn’t at all be human standing at her door. Then it attacked her, and all she could do was scream, kicking and thrashing trying to get away from whatever it was that had come through her door.

(((cause, dude. everyone i roleplay with LEAVES, except you. i'm not kidding. they always get writer's block and never respond. and then on boards like that one i showed you last time, they avoid me. it's pathetic.

She had been sleeping peacefully, about pretty little ducks and birds and whatnot, when soon she felt something grab her neck. She didn't understand what was happening in her dream. It had been so wonderful at first, then everything just went black, and soon her eyes were opening. There was something above her, large and black, the figure of a monster. She released a scream as loud as she could, but it didn't last long. She felt faint, a little dizzy, and she didn't even notice at first Jack coming in. But finally the thing was gone and she was being carried, panting as she held onto him with a death grip. She felt hot tears on her cheeks, fingers digging into his shoulders. "What the fuck was that thing, Jack?" He didn't even seem scared of it, like he was use to this sort of thing.
Dorian had been in the kitchen, sitting down with coffee and his laptop when he heard Kerrin and Calypso's scream. He jumped so far from the table that the chair was knocked back, possibly broken, but he didn't care. He noticed Jack disappear into Calypso's room, so he found himself running and skidding into Kerrin's, panting. He didn't quite understand what was going on, and though this did happen quite a lot, it didn't happen all the time. But they had no clue what they were dealing with. They didn't have information, clues; it was like the family really did just get up and left. But that didn't stop Dorian from pulling out the gun pressed against his midback and shoot at it. He was so damn glad Kerrin's father was off doing whatever he was doing. And once the thing screeched and vanished, he grabbed Kerrin as quickly as he could and took her off into the kitchen, turning the lights on. Surely the thing, being nothing but a shadow, wouldn't enter the light. "Crap." He cursed, pulling the woman into his arms tightly. "God, Kerrin, are you okay?"

((Yeahhh well thats probably cause they don't know you and they just get bored with the rp or rping. I mean, we do a whole bunch of different rps but if you just do one or something they more likely to leave cause once that rp gets old they just dumb like that and go find someone else I used to abandon rps all the time xDDD i feel bad for the peope I dumped Especially that batman chick but she was creeppyyy duududee xDDDDDDDD LMAAOo ahahahahah dudee was he like an ugly 16 year old? He glanced back to the house once Calypso started talking, which was enough for him to hear just now, the light that turned on inside assuring him that Dorian had gotten Kerrin out more-or-less safely. He turned back to stare down at Calypso, though, when he finally realized her words, his expression wrought with sympathy and a bit of regret. “I don’t know.” He answered truthfully, lifting her up again as he carried her over to his car, setting her down in the passengers side before he rushed to the drivers, climbing in and starting it up, deciding it was not only best to keep relatively mobile at a time like this, but also knowing it’d be better if he handed this with Calypso away from Dorian and Kerrin. “I know…this is going to sound crazy, Calypso, but you have to believe me. I don’t know what that was, so I can’t tell you, but I swear I’m not letting it, or anything else anywhere near you ever again.” He swore, looking incredibly serious as he made his vow, but it was only seconds later that the look of guilt and pain showed upon his face again. “God, I’m such a dick for not telling you earlier, but I’m not an FBI agent, cal, neither is Dorian. We take on different cases, special cases, and we don’t work for anyone. This is going to sound ridiculous, trust me, I know, I already think I’m crazy enough as it is, but I…hunt monsters, Calypso. Things like what attacked you; monsters, demons…anything. But I swear, I will protect you. No matter what."
Kerrin didn’t know what was happing, she was scared, and in pain, and the next thing she knew she heard a gunshot, which only made her scream again, thrashing even more against whatever the hell it was she was fighting. Then she was being lifted off the ground by someone, and she started banging against his chest, whimpering and squealing, until she realized something familiar about it and opened her eyes. She locked on Dorian, still terrified, her eyes wide and her breath heaving, and instantly burst into tears, like a small child that had bee woken from a nightmare from its parents. She threw her arms around him and clung close, closing her eyes again until he finally stopped moving. “I’m scared, Dorian,” She cried in response to his question, staring at him in fear and horror. She was obviously shaken, but otherwise unhurt, simply traumatized and afraid for her safety. “What the hell was that, Dorian? What the hell is going on?” She whimpered, clinging to him in exasperation, fearful pain clearly showing in every essences of her being as she clung to his shirt, entire body trembling.

((nooo cause i just send my post and they either never rp or they like "sorry, not feelin it" >;c it's too much of a coincidence.
xDD no he was really pretty and she screamed out "SHAUN, GO OUT WITH ME!" and i was laughing so hard cause she was realllly loud and she's never loud and the dude is all like "OK. I DON'T NORMALLY GO FOR SCREAMING, BUT I'LL MAKE AN EXCEPTION FOR YOU!" so later, it's all random crap and i'm hanging out with his five year old brother who tells me HE'S ACTUALLY the oldest. xDDD and it's true cause his id and everything and it's all creepy. then i see Shaun drunk on the ground, and i hear my sister crying dramatically in the background. and it turns out he was only 16 hahahahah xDDD so funny.
yeaaah. and i really wanted to do that rp. WHYHHYHY)))
She was shivering as he placed her in the passanger seat, staring at the dashboard as she tried to recall everything that suddenly happened. She listened to the engine rumble to life, peering curiously at the wheel, before she locked gazes with Jack as he spoke. "What, so you're like a ghostbuster?" She wanted to laugh at the silliness of it all, say he was joking, but she knew it wasn't a joke. That thing in the room had been real. And she couldn't even believe that he'd even do this for a damn living. She had only saw the thing once and she was suddenly going crazy, thinking maybe her mother seriously had passed it down to her. "Jack, why would you do something like this?" she questioned, her eyes suddenly beginning to water. "It was a fucking monster. And demons?" Calypso shook her head at him, suddenly beginning to think that having a crazzy-ass name wasn't as bad as having this weird job. And she couldn't even begin to ask why he lied to her, because she knew if he had told her, she would've thought he was crazy and most likely never would've even talked to him. "Why was it after me... and Kerrin?"
Dorian frowned as he listened to her cry, holding her tighter in his arms with a sigh. He didn't even know where to begin with telling her. Usually, it was him that was telling everyone the truth, Jack seeming to be against it, but now it was too hard. He didn't want to scare her; if he did, she might never come back. "Look, Kerrin," he began awkwardly. "I don't know what that thing was, but I can tell you that it was real." He stroked her hair for a moment, closing his eyes as he tried going over a certain speech in his head. "I lied about being an agent, Kerrin. I don't even want to be one, honestly. They're always major asses." He pulled back and looked at her carefully. "I have a, uh, unique type of job. I've been in it my whole life. It's sort of like... ghostbusters, except people don't appreciate it as much so we have to keep it a secret."

Kind of like Ghostbusters.” Jack replied slowly, and hesitantly, with a frown. He hated being compared to the Ghostbusters, more than a lot of things. Sure, he’d enjoyed the movie, but it got old fast in this line of work. Especially when people got hurt, and everyone thought of some silly little movie at the mention of it. “I ask myself that sometimes, too…All the time, actually.” he admitted with a scowl, shaking his head as he glanced away from the girl, down at the steering wheel. “I was just kind of raised in it. Its all I grew up with, all I really knew. I hated school, I loved the adrenaline. Its not an easy, or a fun job, Cal, but someone’s got to do it. If Dorian and I don’t go around screwing up our lives and toying with damn fate, then who else will?” Its not like his career was very popular, after all. If Calypso was this shocked hearing about it, imagine what kids would think when it was an allowed course in their college class books? If everyone knew, and believed in, ghosts and monsters, then there would be a hell of a lot more hunters, but everyone would live in fear. They’d be terrified, scared in their own homes, and sure, it might make him crazy, knowing that no one else knew just how much he risked his damn life all the time, but it was better that way. Children could sleep at night when their parents assured them there were no monsters under their beds, rather than being rushed out of the room and sprinkled with salt. “I don’t know why it was after you, Calypso, but that’s what I’m here for. That’s what Dorian and I were trying to figure out before…” He paused, trailing off as he didn’t want her to feel like he was blaming her for this, because he really wasn’t. If anything, it was entirely his fault for getting far too involved with wanting to be around the girl. “I swear, Cal, if I knew it was going to come after you, I would’ve protected you. We thought it was just after families, but…obviously that’s not true.” He scowled, shaking his head quickly as he ran an annoyed hand back through his hair. “I’m sorry, Calypso, I’m so fucking sorry. This shouldn’t have happened.”
Kerrin could tell that Dorian was afraid to tell her something, but the thought of that only made her more terrified. What was it he was keeping from her? What wasn’t he telling her? It made her cling to him even more, her fingers practically ripping his shirt as she looked over his face with worry and fear, uncertain about both where this was going and how it would end. Then he started talking. She stared at him in confusion for the longest time, tears still on her face as she watched him speak so…naturally about lying to her. She couldn’t even speak, her breath just caught in her throat as he continued to tell her about the secrets he’d been keeping from her; secrets that he obviously didn’t care about telling until her life was put on the line by whatever had attacked her only moments ago. “Ghostbusters?” She whimpered, sounding more confused than hurt, still shaky and afraid. “Dorian, I…You lied…I…This can’t be happening.” She cried, pressing herself close to him almost unexpectedly, burying her face into his shoulder as she started to sob, wrapping her arms all the way around him tightly, wanting any comfort that she could get. Its not like she could be mad at him, say none of this ‘ghostbusters’ stuff was real, because she’d experienced it. She’d just felt it, like the life was being sucked right out of her when that thing grabbed her, and now Dorian was admitting to something that freakishly made sense. She could have asked why he never told her sooner, but she already knew the answer to that. Who would have believed him? No one. Not even her, who wanted to trust him so much with everything, even with herself. “I’m not going back in that room.” She whimpered quite firmly after a while of just holding him, absolutely serious. She never wanted to step foot in her own bedroom ever again, no matter how suspicious her father, or anyone else might find it. She never wanted to leave Dorian’s sight. “How…how do you get rid of it? If you do this for a living, why couldn‘t you keep it away? How did it get here? Why did it attack me, Dorian? What the hell did it want with us?”

((And our rps aren't epic? Okay no They not really But it hurts my pride when you say that >:c And I didn't know this person But I was finally going to be able to rp Gaaaarararaarrarararar. I have his gourd. My friend made it for me in ceramics.)))
It wasn't like there was anything else she could really compare it to. What did he expect? And as she listened to him, she suddenly felt her heart breaking as he trailed off, tears beginning to spring in her eyes because she knew /exactly/ what he was going to say. "I'm so sorry I'm a distraction to you." Calypso brushed at her eyes to try and get the tears away, feeling tired and hurt, wanting this to be a bad dream. But there was too much pain for this to be a dream, and so she started crying even more when she realized this. But oddly enough, she felt proud that he did this, like some anti-hero who didn't get enough credit. She was impressed, but worried about his safety. So it wasn't odd for her to suddenly blurt out, "What am I to you?" while hiding her face in her hands. The way he sounded was so final, like he knew what his job was and he didn't have time for silly little girls like her, as though he knew he were going to leave and didn't care.
"I lied to protect you, Kerrin. And it's not like you would have believed me if I did tell you the truth." Dorian found it odd that she was mad at him, and yet here she was suddenly pushing herself against him, gripping him like there was nothing else in the world. And he honestly didn't know what to do. He should have, but he didn't because he knew how she was feeling. He had been lied to so many time he was simply use to it by now. "I don't know, Kerrin. I promise you, if we did, this never would've happened. It'd be and and we'd be long gone by now." It was what she wanted to hear, right? He didn't quite understand, and so he pulled her closer. "I won't let it touch you again."

((Pshhh nooo dude our rps are eppiiccc xDDDD They're eve more epic than the ones I had with Sammy were just really funny xDDDD They didn't really make much sense lmaaooo we more like chatted than anything, really she was just better than half the other people I tried rping with reciently =/ which was like a year ago xDDDDDDDDDDD LMAO But, anyways, dude, I didn't mean to make you feel insulted, cause I wasn't trying to insult you or anything. I'd rather rp with youuuu )) “No, Cal, that’s not what I meant.” Jack replied quickly, frowning sadly at the girl. He hadn’t meant her to take it that way, but it was true. She was a good distraction, and he loved every second of it. He just couldn’t concentrate on the case as much as he probably should have. As much as he could have, to protect her. But the questions he asked next confused him. Didn’t she know? Didn’t she know that she was everything to him? Everything he wanted in a woman, everything he wanted to hold, to touch, for as long as he could. He wasn’t sure why, he just did. She was special, perfect. If he didn’t think so, he wouldn’t have tried so hard to keep this secret from her. “Cal…” He murmured, frowning as he reached for the girl, placing his hand over hers affectionately, leaning towards her with a pure look in his eyes, one that he rarely wore for anyone. “You’re the most beautiful, most wonderful, fun, free-spirited woman I’ve ever met.” he said, trying to get her to show her gorgeous face to him again. “I wouldn’t be telling you this if you didn’t mean a lot to me, Calypso. You're the only girl I've ever wanted to try for.”
Yes, in a way it was what she wanted to hear, but at the same time it wasn’t. She was afraid, terrified, and the thought of Dorian leaving only worried her more. If he hadn’t been there, who knows what would be happening to her right now, and for that she was thankful. And not only that, but Dorian had always made her feel good. He’d always been there for her when she needed him, lie or not, and she was afraid of letting him go - now more than ever. “No. I don’t want you to leave.” Kerrin said quickly, her voice cracking as she pulled back a little just to stare into his eyes, a pure look of truth, fear, and affection in her eyes. Then she leaned forward, brushing her lips over his slowly, in a way that showed both thanks and love, before she pulled back, just running her hand over his face. “But…If you don’t know what it is, how are you going to….you know…get rid of it?” She asked, frowning as she brushed her fingers over his cheek, a few slow tears still making their way down her face.

((i had a crayon rp. it was pretty cool.))
It was a lot to take in, and she didn't want to pull her hands away from her face. How could she? He was trying to be so calming about this, but how can she be? He was telling her that she was in love with some guy who went around killing off crazy ass things of imagination, and she didn't even know how she could fit in that crazy life of his. But the woman closed her eyes tight when his hand was suddenly placed over her own, and she whimpered as she dropped them down into her lap, holding Jack's hand tightly between her own. "Try /what/ for, Jack? What exactly do you want with me?"
He watched her curiously, trying to stay focused when really he was worried about that thing coming back. And he sighed as she stroked his cheek, looking down into her tearfilled eyes before shaking his head. "We'll find out, Kerrin, I promise. We always do, you know." He was starting to doubt it this time. He didn't even see the face of this thing. But to calm her down, the man bent down and kissed her sweetly on the lips, tightening his arms around her.

((XDDDDDD A crayon rp? How do you do a crayon rp? Lmaoaoo thats awesome xDDDD )) Jack’s expression was wrought with sympathy and pain, having never wanted to cause Calypso this much harm. He cared for her in a way that he’d never cared for anyone before, a way that was new to him, and he couldn’t quite explain it. He knew how other people described it; love. But that word was foreign to him. It was scary, as scary as she finding out about his real job was, and he was afraid of it all. He didn’t want to hurt her, if he got hurt, or had to leave, and he knew that if he said that he loved her, that was what he would do. But, he wondered, how happy would he make her by saying it? He knew she’d smile, and love him endearingly forever, as she probably already did unless she was a very good actress, but he was still afraid. Even as she gripped his hand, his heart was beating fast, and he didn’t know how to put his feelings into words. “I…” He started awkwardly, the words obviously hard for him to put out, though he was determined to do it as he saw the misery in her eyes. “I want to have some kind of life with you, Calypso. It’s just, I don’t know what kind of life I can have. My life is so fucked up right now, Cal, and I don’t want to pull you into it any more than I already have, because I know you’ll just get hurt. My job isn’t safe, Cal, I don’t want you to have to worry. I just…want you to be safe, and happy.” He said, tightening his hand around her sweetly as he leaned across the car, placing an affectionate kiss to the corner of her mouth. “That’s all I’ve ever wanted with you, Cal, and I don’t know what to do because I’ve never wanted something like this before.”
Kerrin believed him, or at least, she tried her best to, and nodded in agreement with his words, a small, hopeful little smile briefly showing on her face. He really did mean everything to her, even if he lied and did the craziest job she’d ever heard of. She knew that she loved him, she’d known it for a while now, she was just too nervous to say anything, as much as she wanted to. To tell the truth, she was a little intimidated by him. Here he was, doing this incredible, but terrifying job, no doubt saving people’s lives, being the most brave man that she had ever met in her whole life, and she was afraid of saying those three perfect, meaningful words. “Thank you.” She whispered as she returned his kiss with adoration, feeling instantly relaxed and perfectly safe as he tightened his arms around her. He protected her more than anyone, and she was fully confident that he, and Jack, would get rid of whatever it was that had attacked both she and Calypso, and she was eternally grateful for that. She just hoped that he wouldn’t get hurt in the process. “Dorian,” She murmured after they pulled apart, laying her head tenderly upon his chest, closing her eyes as she listened softly to his steady heartbeat. “Do you ever…get scared, while you’re hunting?” She asked, brushing her fingers delicately over his chest. “I know you’re brave, and strong, but…you can’t always be brave all the time, right?” She asked, frowning a little as she glanced up at him.

(don't know. mine was Ben the Green Giant and he used words like bamboozled and flabbergasted. and i hate my life c;))
Calypso suddenly shook her head at him, scowling as she glanced out the window. Her scowl softened, however, when his lips brushed her own. The woman let her eyes close, holding back tears because she didn't know what else to do. She hook her head and sighed, staring down at the floor of the car when he suddenly pecked the corner of her mouth, making her glance over at him warily. "What do you want me to say, Jack?" Then she shook her head at his words, knowing very well how far she was in this mess. "And I'm already in it, Jack, you can't just push me out now." With a sigh, she leaned over and buried her face in his neck, breathing in his familiar smell that she had been unable to get out of her head. "It's scary, Jack, these things."
He looked down at her curiously when she asked her question, though it was one he hasn't ever really been asked before. He shrugged for a moment, looking pensive. "I guess." He offered her a reassuring smile, as though to tell her he wasn't as crazy as he sounded. "I did, at first, Kerrin, but I'm use to it now." Dorian rested his chin on her head, his eyes closing for only a moment as he tried to relax himself. "I've been doing this for a ridiculously long time."

((xDDDD ohhh lmaaoo and nooo dduudee your life doesn't succkk you gots me xDDDD )) It was impossible for Jack not to hate himself as he stared at Calypso. He was causing her pain, distressing her, and only making things worse. “I know, Cal, I know,” He said quickly, shaking his head as he ran a hand back through his hair, upset and annoyed with himself. The one time he got close to someone, his job ruined things before he had a chance to explain it all. “I don’t know what to do, Cal. I just-” He paused, cutting himself off as she leaned into him, his eyes falling down to her in surprise and concern, his arms instantly wrapping around her and tugging her closer, pulling her up into his lap as he clung to her. “I want it to work,” He whispered, kissing the side of her head affectionately. “I don’t want to be without you, Cal, I can fix this. I know you’re scared, but…I’d do anything for you, Cal. I promise.”
Kerrin liked the sight of Dorian’s smile, even if it was just to help her relax. It was still hard to wrap her head around it, but, really, she was more afraid of losing Dorian than anything else. “I don’t know how you could get used to it,” She said quietly, pressing a quick, simple kiss to his neck before she sat up on his lap, moving to straddle him so she could stare him straight in the eye, brushing her hands gently over his face. “You’re incredible, Dorian.” She whispered, offering him an endearing smile as she leaned towards him and gave him a kiss, pulling back after a little while. “This…doesn’t change anything….for us, I mean. right?” she asked, frowning a little, hoping that Dorian wouldn’t be afraid to keep her close now that she’d been attacked.

((it doooessss.)))
She listened to him, but otherwise stayed silent. Her fingers curled tight in his shirt, fisting it between her fingers as she pressed her face to his neck, listening to him breathe, to him talk. The woman nodded as he kissed her head, pressing a kiss to his neck in response, sighing out as she tried to relax herself. "I want it to work, too, Jack." The woman nodded all of a sudden, smoothing out another kiss over his neck, her hands relaxing on his shirt to slide up and wrap around his neck. "Just don't get hurt, you know?"
Dorian frowned as she moved, watching her curiously, before he lightly kissed the woman back, hands resting on her hips. And then she asked /that/ question, and he frowned at her. "It doesn't change how I feel about you, Kerrin, but I don't really know. You could get hurt, you know, and I don't want that to happen." He really didn't, and he was sure Jack felt the same way with Calypso. He reached up and ran his fingers through her hair, releasing a tired sigh. "But I don't want it to change, so I'll keep that from happening."

((Nooo it doesnt duududeeee just you waiitt you be married to dean eventually xDDD trust me lmaaooo )) Jack felt his heart rate quicken a little as he felt Calypso kiss him on the neck, his grip on her tightening a little out of protection. “I know you do…” he murmured softly, nuzzling her head sweetly with the top of his nose, adoring the feeling of having her close, even if he was still afraid of her being hurt. He wanted her protected, even if he wanted to be with her, so he would do everything in his power to keep her safe. He’d teach her about salt, about holy water, and everything else he knew. He’d teach her to defend herself while he was away, because he sure as hell wasn’t dragging her along monster-hunting with him. “I can’t…promise you that, Calypso.” he said after a moment, knowing that no one could promise their own safety. “But I’ll do everything that I can to be safe for you, alright?” He asked, glancing down at her. “I promise that I’ll be as safe as I can, if you stay safe for me, too, okay?”
Kerrin knew the instant Dorian frowned that he wasn’t going to say something good, and her heart started to race. In a way, she already knew what he was going to say. He was going to do the noble thing, he was going to tell her that they couldn’t be together because her safety was on the line and he didn’t want her hurt, but she didn’t care. Really, not all that much had changed. She knew what he did now, but she had obviously always been in danger, and he hadn’t seemed to care back then. What would he have told her then, if she hadn’t figured out the truth? “I don’t want you to get hurt, either, you know.” She protested quietly, knowing that he was in much more harm than her. He was the one that chased the monsters, she wasn’t, and if she could put up with the circumstances, then so could he, right? But then he said something that made her smile, if only a little. “Really?” She asked, a look of utter relief and joy on her face, leaning in to mold her lips over his fervently, reaching up to run her hands delicately back through his hair, pulling away just to stare into his eyes with a grin. “You mean a lot to me, you know, Dorian. Monsters and all.” She said, touching his lips with hers once more. “You sound like my father, you know, wanting to protect me like that.” She teased, snickering lightly at Dorian. “If it weren’t for you just now…I don’t know what would have happened, so, the way I see it, I’m much safer with you than without you.”

((XD you can't promise that.))
Calypso frowned at this, closing her eyes as though it would keep out any bad thoughts. But he was being realistic, she knew that, and she couldn't help but feel upset that it had to be that way. "I can do that..." she said quietly, a frown forming on her lips as she leaned back and looked him in the eye. "But you have to mean it, you know." But she leaned down and kissed him, arms slipping around his neck as she did so. "And I think you can shut off the car now, Jack." She smirked lightly.
Dorian chuckled lightly at her words, nodding his head and kissing her sweetly upon the neck. "You mean a lot to me, too, Kerrin -- over protective father and all." He, sly, let his fingers slip up behind the woman's back, beneath her shirt as he pulled her closer. "And you are safer with me, but you're also in danger with me." But either way she would have been in danger. Creatures like demons didn't care if Dorian had lied, that Kerrin didn't know what was going on, they would have enjoyed ruining that secret.
